From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. Makes me think of the US auto industry circa 1915. You had literally hundreds of manufacturers trying to carve out a piece of a new and vast market followed by a wave of consolidation, companies going defunct, and yes a number of them emerging stronger than before. Hypermiling is a weird thrill.
If I feather footed my 2015 Passat TDI 6MT (Malone Tune/Larger Hybrid Turbo/Deleted) I could get 65+mpg, but I would be holding up traffic and endangering other people if I did it on a regular basis.
It was fun to watch my mileage guesser move around when I was driving about 50mph on county roads, but it isnt something I would feel comfortable with doing on a commute or road trip.
Especially when it wasn't even done in the real world..

Thats what we would hope. But yet then there are companies that only care about sales and cash flow, not customer satisfaction.
