What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

CarPlay (with option for the new CarPlay) and Android Auto support.

These phone integrations give users choice and support thousands of apps some of which are made by individuals and small teams. Scout says that “community” is important. Supporting CarPlay means supporting small app development businesses and users that use niche apps.

Having AppleCar Play is a very convenient feature
My current ride utilizes wireless CarPlay and I use it all the time it's great for all things Apple. However, the "New CarPlay" will also utilize custom features for the drivers display (Center stack). From what I have seen Scout has done a very good job in this area. I think I need to wait and see what Apple does with its center stack customization before commenting on full blown Apple CarPlay.

Has anyone mentioned a Truck Camper yet? I for one would like to utilize a slide in truck camper on my Terra. I would like to know if Scout is considering having features to accommodate this when it's plug into the vehicle. Most domestics offer a truck camper special package that includes upgrades to the suspension, brakes etc. It seems the Terra is probably already beefy enough in those departments, so maybe it's just needing some software to change the suspension when the camper is fitted, or to help power the camper itself.

But at the same time, HUD is a but lazy on the driver no? If you can’t feel 35-80mph then just get off the road.
I agree on that. The hud is just nice as a double check. Especially in a quiet car when you think your doing 55 and your actually cruising at 80 ?. I like it if I’m using CarPlay navigation and I can quickly glance to see upcoming turn without looking away at a full color nav screen

It’s been discussed on the forum but not aware of anyone officially noting it as of yet. By 2027 I would almost guess it will be standard
Thank you. I've seen some of your other comments on here and you comment with such confidence it makes me want to ask if you are a part of the development team. Can you confirm?

1. I’d like to have mechanical switches. Similar to an aircraft cockpit.
2. Solar panel on the roof.
3. Heated and ventilated seats.
4. Foldable 3rd row.
5. Built in tents when you open the rear door.
6. Lie flat rear seats.
7. Slide out storage like rivian for optional storage or camp stove.
8. HUD.
9. Rear window that rolls down.
10. Phone mounting options that do not have to use a vent mount but a dedicated spot for the phone.

No. I was part of the early group that got to go to the launch premier as Scout guests. There were a lot of things said over 2 days with the understanding that Vegas rules applied. So there is a small group of us that heard a lot of things that we can “cautiously” hint at because it isn’t technically official.
Ultimately nothing I say is ever official and SM certainly can change ideas as they progress but some things were passionately stated so assumptions are they want certain things staying no matter the effort, cost, challenge, etc…

#10. I believe it was said that the slightly angled vertical slots behind the cup holder are for phones.
