What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Having wasted an hour last night catching up on Fridays with Frank I think SM should donate one to Pinal County, Arizona sheriff’s office for Frank to cruise around in. Huge exposure from reality side as well as all his videos they post. And hey-if you haven’t seen Fridays with Frank check it out on YouTube-the the coolest guy in law enforcement. And he has all his patches sticking on the ceiling/roof of his vehicle-could start him off with some cool Scout badges
A few minutes into the latest video there is a clip where he demands ID but refuses to articulate why he is investigating the teenager. Then threatens to use physical force on the kid if he doesnt provide his ID when the officer still refuses to tell him why he was being investigated.

I am not sure if I would want Scout to associate with someone like that.

But I do like your idea. There are a lot of great channels out there with public officials that could be good for marketing.

If you haven’t watched many-watch more because they explain a lot of why they do what they do. And most body cam footage from anywhere in U.S. eventually shows similar. I’m not on an extreme side either way but maybe you just caught an extreme situation. All in all he seems to be well respected with people actually asking for pics with him even after a citation. He is consistent and knows the law from a professional point of view. While it might bother a few here and there I think for the most point he takes a fair point of view and sometimes the videos just catch the raw side of certain situations. Considering SM had 15-20 bloggers at the reveal-two of which I had heard of after someone pointed them out I had never heard of any of them so for me I’d rather see them appear in something people like and watch but I get your concern. I’d be willing to bet though that most Scout buyers probably get a kick out of the show. My other thought was some of the shows where they are out rummaging in old barns or antique places to find hidden hauls so to speak.

Could potentially work as a mail vehicle - but the price point is difficult, and honestly rural routes are damn hard on vehicles. The battery life might be good enough for a day of mail delivery-but how would the Scout hold up day after day, and could repairs be done quickly enough to keep them on the road. Where I live, NOBODY wants to work on an EV - and Scout will not have a rural network of dealers and service centers.

Most of the repairs will handled by Scout mobile service techs.

Can’t wait to see their service truck setups.
