Traveler Harvester - Current '10 Jeep JKU Rubicon 6 spd, had a '77 and a '78 Scout II back in the 80's and 90's - really blown away by the reveal, great job
I can't decide which one I like better, so I reserved one of each. Both with gas extender. As it gets closer to actual order date, I'll have to pick one. I think the Terra would meet my needs better, but the Traveller looks so cool.Which one did you reserve? I’m in with the Terra and the gas extender. Can’t wait. Going to trade up from my Rubi hybrid!!
Welcome to the community!Reserved Traveler + Terra with range extender
It seems like some people have. I haven’t. I’m Traveler all the way. Don’t have a need for a truck. This is replacing my 2013 Wrangler and she has been a pavement princess her whole life and my Traveler will be as well. Cross country trips yes, but camping and off roading no. Glad to have you aboard. There’s lots of info and the search function is definitely useful.Seems like a lot of folks have multiple reservations. We have done the same. Have reserved a Traveler and Terra (pure battery) but will only buy 1. This vehicle will replace our 2007 Jeep WK CRD farm "truck." Since we've been getting along just fine an SUV and trailer(s) we're leaning towards the Traveler but an outside bed would be useful a few times per year. Will see how things develop and if our missions change over time.
We have been driving Teslas since 2010 and currently have a 2018 Model S 100D and 2022 Model X Plaid as daily drivers.
Not to discourage any reservations, but my understanding is that you have a couple years to change it, ie between Terra/traveler, harvester/bev, so if you’re only planning to buy one you only need one reservation.Seems like a lot of folks have multiple reservations. That's my understanding as well. Having customers choose their options is simply to gather valuable market data and plan resources accordingly. Not to discourage any reservations, but my understanding is that you have a couple years to change it, ie between Terra/traveler, harvester/bev, so if you’re only planning to buy one you only need one reservation.
Welcome aboardReserved Traveler + Terra with range extender
I mentioned this shortly after reveal. Two of us that were there had both said just after that we are getting SUV’s but we both said the Terra looks SO good in person we were both debating the TerraI keep going back and forth between the Traveler and the Terra. I reserved the Traveler with the Harvester package, but the Terra keeps talking to me. I also wonder if one model would be available sooner than the other? I’m not going to reserve both because we’d only buy one, and we can change/decide as we get closer to the purchase date. It’s a good thing we have a couple more years, that should let me change my mind about 700 more times!
Oh Scoutsie you deserve all the good things in life.Today, I parsed this thread title as “What did you deserve?”
Make of that what you will.
It does sound like you will lose your place in the queue when you switch back and forth. Just something to consider if you want to be one of the first to get your hands on one.I keep going back and forth between the Traveler and the Terra. @Jamie@ScoutMotors. Can we get an answer to this question if possible? Will we lose our place in line if we switch from the Harvester to the BEV or from Traveler to Terra or Terra to Traveler? Thanks! It does sound like you will lose your place in the queue when you switch back and forth. Just something to consider if you want to be one of the first to get your hands on one.
If you are patient it doesnt matter though.
