Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Pic I took last night of the Terra. Put it through its paces yesterday.

Happy Friday

Even tho I’m not getting a Terra, this is one gorgeous truck!

I have a question…are we looking at something different than the concept here? Because put it through its paces makes it sound like this is a Terra with an actual engine in it not just what the concepts have.

Let me clarify. This is still the only Terra in existence right now. We are using these vehicles beyond what they were intended for and they are holding up quite well. Come take a look next weekend at both concepts in Denver at the Outside Festival.

With it being the only one, I would be white knuckling just slow rolling at 20mph around a parking lot.

Hats off for taking on some dirt. Definitely looks like its in its element.

This maybe a question that doesn’t have an exact answer but in the Jay Leno video Scott said this was the most expensive vehicle Jay had ever driven. How much is a concept vehicle? Is it the cost of the total R&D as well? Some other calculation? Just curious.

I imagine they are talking about the thousands of man hours and equipment needed to design, engineer, and fabricate it.

Believe me. I cringe sometimes seeing the way we are using these concepts.

But to be honest Scouts just don’t like pavement. It is definitely slow going. It’s crazy to say, but I can hear her asking to head down the trails.

Scout way…… Mariah likes to explore.

Jay has many very expensive vehicles. I spent the day exploring and admiring them.
Without getting into the details the concepts are well north of 1 million ea, hence the reason I am extremely protective of them. I treat them as one of my own children.

No one has ever done concepts like this. All concepts you see at auto shows are nowhere near these.

Let’s just say we are getting our money’s worth.
