  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Okay, notes:

Nearly perfect. Hard to improve. I think steelies, or an alloy imitation (similar to the Nomad 504s or Fifteen52 Analogs) would go really well with the rugged, simple heritage - whether as an accessory or a default option. I’m curious to see the back end of the render, and the rear bumper with Harvester armor.

Not sure if I’ll be putting a roof rack on (see my other comment in suggestion box about wanting an overbuilt rear swing out) so maybe a light bar or spots built into that bumper?

My goal is something to offroad in that commutes to gym and errands as an EV. Not Rubicon-level crawling but all over CO/UT and the rest of the west to camp and hit up rivers. Probably no more than a level 5 or 6 and mostly 2-4, but if I screw up and find a patch of 7 I don’t want to be stranded.

Also, loudly for whoever is involved with designing the wheel wells and fender liners: ITS OKAY IF 37S RUB JUST A LITTLE BIT AND NEED MASSAGING 🥹 (just please make sure the steering rack can handle the weight).

How about instead of a roof rack some A pillar lights. I would love A pillar lights.

Just going off of the specs... Youll have no issue.

You could probably still run the Rubicon in a stock one on 35"s with some sliders and willingness to accept minor body damage. (Most sketchy obstacles there have bypasses anyway)

The ground clearance is going to be great.

Really low center of gravity.

Nothing to get hung up on, on the belly.

Instant torque with 1,000ft-lbs at your disposal and front and rear lockers to just crawl up anything.

I love it! These are the colors I would pick - the green looks just right and so do the wheels with what looks like a slightly smoked bronze that’s not too yellow (gold) or too pink (copper).
Me as well! (if they don't have a desert tan shade pick)

Happy Friday!

A little bonus for everyone. We teased this at the reveal in one of the slides, but here is a look (more coming next week) at a Scout Traveler off-road concept. This features a few design and accessory elements that our teams have been exploring. No promises, but our teams will be reading the comments... :D

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

The front bumper with integrated winch looks very promising.

Another comment. I do not go off road or camp. However living in Illinois with crap weather and potholes and crappy roads I love the secure feeling I have driving on a bigger tire, steel bumpers so road debris is less of an issue. Plus I love the aggressive look of off road vehicles.

My comment is don’t make those more aggressive wheels and more aggressive looking bumper only come in a high end off road package. For example love the brush guard and would get that but have no need for a winch.

I don’t want the roof rack so make that optional on every trim.
Maybe its because I'm in IL too, but I agree with this except I'm 100% in on the rack (we are a skiing family and use a roof box many times every winter).

Seeing this and the abomination I saw tonight I have a new question. Walking with my daughter tonight and there was a Genesis GV 70 (I think). It was backed into the driveway. My daughter likes those so we were discussing until we saw the front. It had a Jersey front license plate and it was mounted up in the mesh grill-WTF!! It completely ruined the vehicle. So got me thinking where will the license plates go? Now seeing the bull bar and possible winch if you are @THil08 driving around in NJ where do you put the plate(s)?

You run without it as long as possible. Our front Supra plate is in the back of the car. 😹

Side mount on the front via the tow hook. And for the rear plate we put it on the bumper. But honestly seeing the Scouts, it seems they are tailored for 1 plate states. So I’ll just do what my friend did with his Tesla. You take the front plate and put it behind the rear plate. That way when they pull you over your front plate is always there.

NJ has had some resistance from residents recently, tinting front windows is now a huge unstoppable situation now we have tint shops in almost every town, BMW M vehicles come from the dealerships with only rear plates, and some other cars also do I believe RIVIANs are like Teslas they only have the rear plates. Seems NJ DOT should re-evaluate the rules.

We also have dumb rules for our Temp Tags. Like if you buy a vehicle out of state and it doesn’t have temps, it can’t be driven with proof of ownership paperwork or title from the previous owner like most states allow. The list goes on, I can trash talk the state all day, everyday. The only thing that keeps me here is fishing and the beaches.

My car(s) all have side mounted plates in the front and bumper rear mounted.
