Scout Encyclopedia- Facts, facts and more facts.

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I just got my Scout Encyclopedia yesterday! Starting a thread where interesting facts can be posted.

The first fact is this is a very big book and not just pictures. It’s 384 pages long! So excited to read it as my family did not have a Scout when I was growing up and all this talk of the different models and colors and features they had back in the day got me very intrigued.

I finally had time to sit down and start reading this Sunday. And I am very pleased to see one of the first 4 prototypes Scouts, titled E-923, was YELLOW with a white top. Everything keeps leading me to that color combo for my Scout. The other 3 original prototypes were E-922 a cab top in what appears to be blue metallic with a white top, E-924 is also a cab top with no color indicated and E-926 looked to be painted tan. This book is quite detailed and I know what I’m going to be doing every Sunday for the foreseeable future.

The original colors were red, green, blue, YELLOW, and tan with white tops. Then dealers asked for Scouts to be all one color at a higher cost, as well as requested an all white Scout. With the dealer requests they offered white and then body color roofs. It would seem to me that to stay with the heritage of the Scout a current version of those retro original colors would be ideal.

Best part of being dtc, dealership have no say in color choices.

I received my Scout Encyclopedia as a gift and just barely into the history so far. I hope to have some free time soon to dig deeper into it. What an awesome compilation of information for all to enjoy. Can't wait for the movie to come out! :ROFLMAO:

This forum and the Scout Encyclopedia will definitely help entertain during the wait for our new Scouts.
