Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Heading to nationals for the first time this year! Would it be possible for me to film a video of the new concepts while there @Jamie@ScoutMotors ?
Shouldn’t be an issue. The hard part is that the interiors are really fragile so we have to limit people getting in them. Otherwise not a problem.

I’m seriously considering it. If we could get a group (small, medium or large) to go I think I’d consider it. It’s just over a 7 hour drive for me which is all but my limit if by myself
Totally understandable. I’d say that’s about mine also. Im much closer fortunately, about an hour out.

Really looking forward to seeing the classic Scouts as well. Fairly sold on the color of the prototype but def can’t wait to see in person.

Yeah. As close as you are you need to commit the time because seeing those beasts in person is just mind altering. As great as the pics are they still don’t do it justice

I had every intention and found out today there is a regional tournament and one of the primary judges had to back out so I need to cover for him. Happens to be the same group that funds my daughter’s scholarship so I can’t exactly say no. Really bummed-was hoping to meet a lot of you in person. For those who haven’t seen it in person I hope you find as much joy seeing them now as I did at the reveal. Please take lots of pics and get as much info out of the SM reps as you can 😀

I just had an idea. @Jamie@ScoutMotors

I have lots of ideas. 😹

You should have someone at a table with a laptop ready to help people make a reservation. And if you make one or are a reservation holder you get a special sticker or patch or reusable grocery bags or something. You have a captive audience of Scout lovers. Get them while they are excited about it the concepts.

Oh also have a little card with info that also has the information about the forum with maybe some sample posts and polls and things you can vote on to get people engaged over here. Let them know that this is a community and SM is looking for input from the community. That’s rare when designing a car I would imagine. And The more engaged you can keep people in the lead up I would think the more likely they would be to convert to being an owner.

According to Google Maps Springfield OH is 10.5 hours from me.

I was actually planning to make the trip, but found out I have an event I can't miss on the 13th. That would mean driving all day on the 14th to get there and only having part of the 15th to check out the show before heading back. Can't really justify it in my mind. Would have made more sense if I could have had a couple days to be there and see all the old Scouts as well as the new ones. Gonna have to sit this one out.

Fingers crossed that a Northeast event gets added to the concepts appearance calendar.

Watkins Glen NY would be cool. Great destination. 4 hour range for most of northeast and they have the race track there so maybe they could land there at some point. Do a winery tour event after a Watkin’s Glen/“water fall”/gorge hike event then tow boats to the lake and cover outdoorsy life and chauffeured wine drinking event. Because I want to know how capable my SUV is after I drink all night and find myself careening off-road 😀. (No animals harmed in this post and I DO NOT ever drink and drive)

Gah! I was considering making the trip, but it just wasn’t working out and it was a choice of going to see my cancer buddies or seeing Scout pals and the cancer pals kind of had the edge. 😑

There’s a Scout thing that happens in or near Brimfield in the fall if I’m not mistaken. I didn’t go last year because I had COVID and a kidney infection/kidney stone that made it uncomfortable to be in any position but lying down. I am very much hoping to not have this be the case this year. The New England Scout group on Facebook will have details when it gets closer.
