Pre-production roadshow vehicles...

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Any plans to bring sample vehicles, paint samples, or anything like that around so people can see this stuff in person? Something like what Ford did with the Gen 6 Bronco roadshows where you could actually check them out before ordering. Photos and renders only go so far. It would be nice to see the harvester, colors, materials, and overall size in real life. And hey, if you’re looking for a stop in the Northeast, let me know 😄The hype is real.

Welcome to the community!

The best people to follow on here who keep us informed of any events are @Jamie@ScoutMotors and @CP1@scoutmotors

Right now there is one concept of each and looks like they are building a 3rd Traveler. That’s the limiting factor right now is the number of vehicles they have. I would imagine as time goes on and they move to production vehicles they will have more on display.

They have not announced where they will be going yet this year but sometimes they will announce with a couple days notice. I was able to see the Traveler for a second time in December when they announced a last minute trip to Chicago.

Welcome again!

@cyure Thanks, if you don't mind what did you like about it? What is the size comparison, say to a 4 door Bronco Sasquatch OBX? Just trying to think about garage sizes etc. TYIA

When we get closer to production and market launch, there will be quite a few vehicles out there touring.

Will reproduction vehicles, not the concepts, allow for the More general public to sit in them and possibly test drive them or are we waiting for something closer to the production models for that? Because given terminology, we have the concepts we will have preproduction. We will have early production and we will have production.

Yep for sure. True pre-production means they are vehicles we feel confident in selling (all final parts at quality 1) but are still working through a new assembly line and could have an occasional issue here or there. Employees will be driving around in these in addition to the tours we take them too and our retail network that will likely have them on display as well.

Of course.

I have been fortunate enough to see the Terra and Traveler. I saw them both at Nats and then saw the Traveler again in Chicago in December.

If you search my name in the thread title you will find my thread from each event. My husband took over 1100 pictures between the two events and I stood next to them to give you all a point of reference for size. I’m 5’7”. I also took measurements of different parts of the Traveler with the iPhone measuring app. Those are in the Nats thread.

I’m not as familiar with the sizes on Broncos but essentially the Traveler is the same footprint as a Toyota Sequoia, just the last 17 inches are tire carrier instead of car. If that makes sense.

Now as for what I like about it, it’s the overall design. The Traveler is beautiful and it’s just different than anything out on the market. I love the tire carrier. The fact that you can get a glass roof. The presence when you walk up on the Traveler. There’s just no doubt it’s something different. I’m really looking forward to having a frunk. I think that will be very convenient. I love love the two tone seats and the steering wheel with the two different color leathers. The way the screen is sandwiched in the dash. That it has buttons and knobs. I can go on and on.

I don’t know if you have seen any of my husbands pictures yet.

Here’s a couple we took in Chicago and I have to preface it by saying small event, they did not put up a velvet rope and I asked permission to sit in it.

I’ve seen it in person twice and had an outerbanks non-squatch Bronco. The traveler is definitely larger in reality as well as just presence. It’s close in size to a Yukon or the larger non 3-row SUV’s
