New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Yes, I think that is a big part of the issue. I like the style of the wheel and you are correct that it is a 35x12.5R22 Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Thank you for listening to me Scout!!!! I love this tire. I would want it in a smaller diameter and width though. I would also opt for a similar wheel style in a 20" instead of a 22" if available. However, my BMW iX has 22" wheels with air suspension and the ride is excellent.

Tahitian Red is still my current pick, but I do love this color - not exactly black or dark gray, but close enough. I think all the colors have been fantastic honestly - they all have subtle layers instead of a flat/uniform look (except for the white for obvious reasons).
Not as sure about the lots of brown interior, but the fabric choices are also very good.

If this is done correctly and the quality is there this Traveler would be on the list of people shopping for Range Rovers, Lexus GX550, Platinum 4Runner. Vehicles in that category.
I’m so glad they are giving us choices. I know I kept saying why would you ever want one without a tire carrier, but vehicles are so personal and this will give options that will keep Scouts moving into garages for years to come.

While I want a more off-road oriented build, this seals the deal for me on not having a roof rack. I'm short and never use my current one, though it does protect my roof from branches and stuff off road...
The interior has a great vibe to it initially, but there are too many materials/patterns as I stare at it longer. It reminds me of a tract-home where they've slapped on brick, stone, vertical siding, horizontal siding and a bit of shake siding. Now, if this is a showcase for available materials, I love it. Individually, I love most of the materials inside. I'm not feeling the lacquered-OSB* wood grain thing, but maybe I've spent too many years in construction. I definitely prefer a cleaner, less-is-more mix of materials.
I'm guessing this is the early body that came off the production line, so it's already being put in to service. Love it, and while I'd like a brighter color personally, this is a really nice brownish color.

Same, kept saying do I really need rails or a rack. Yes, yes I need something.
No rack needed for me, but I'll need rock rails. I have yet to see rails from Scout that give me the protection I'd want, so I'll probably design and make my own. I think @SpaceEVDriver mentioned previously wanting deeper rails with a rear kick out at the tire that also double as an egress step. I'd likely head in that direction.
Oh I meant the roof rack or roof rails, but I also need rock rails as well. Protection and will make my Scout look more finished. I see Wranglers with no step or rails and they just look unfinished.
I really like this without the roof rack. A terracotta or Tahitian red or a turquoise would be gorgeous, IMO.

I also think the hemp grain from the Silo Terra is too busy too. I like the idea of a wood trim - it adds warmth to the interiors - but I also like something clean & subtle. Which is admittedly a tight needle to thread.
