Make it easy to precool your Scout and create routines (Mobile Integration)

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I would love to have a button front and center on the Scout app to precool or prewarm your Scout on hot summer days, and cold winter mornings.

To save battery it could be limited to 10 minutes, but still useful in preconditioning your vehicle before jumping in.

If it could be integrated with Apple Shortcuts, Bixby Routines, Google Assistant Routines, and Tasker that would be even better.

If they allowed 3rd party integration with other app functions a simple voice command or shortcut button for heading home could precondition the car, set your nav to your commute home with an ETA and traffic alerts, and remind you to pick up paper towels from the grocery store when you head out.

I have never had cooling seats until 2 days ago. After a simple 2 hour drive in SoCal desert, game changer 😀
It really is. My wife thought it was silly until we got a Lexus with them and after that, the seat cooler was the first button she hit when she got in.

She calls it “The Coochie Cooler” 😂

I think any modern more-than-bare-bones EV should have this. Our Mustang and Lightning both have “departure times” that can be set and those can include conditioning the vehicle. We can also start the car from the phone app with controls for the HVAC: seats, steering wheel, heat/AC…

At this price point it’s basically a no brainer. But time will tell

My wifes $28k Ford Maverick Hybrid has all of this. I kinda assume this comes with every vehicle these days. Maybe i'm wrong.

My son’s $25k Hyundai Venue has everything but the ventilated seats. If his little car has all these features I would imagine the Scout in the price range advertised will as well. Heck his car even has nature sounds if you feel like pretending to drive through a forest or near a lake.

When I went from a fairly basic '07 Mustang to a '17 Grand Cherokee, I got heated and cooled seats, remote start, app control, nav etc. Being able to remote start from the app to pre-cool the vehicle during the summer months was a game changer for sure. I can still do that with the remote but lost the app functionality when T-Mobile sunset 3G.

One of my very favorite features which also went away with 3G was "Send And Go". From the Jeep phone app, I was able to super quickly select a destination and with a tap of my screen and send it OTA to the Jeep's nav. When I then entered the vehicle, the nav system would already be programmed to take me to that destination. I used this literally every day for restaurants, gas stations and other POIs. I hated losing this functionality because it was about 100 times faster than typing in a POI or address in vehicle. FCA then sold me on a 4G OBD2 adapter with a monthly access plan to restore this functionality but it did not do the things they said it would do so I dumped it pretty quickly.

I would love to have something like "Send And Go" in the Scout.

Love that feature. Never had a car with that but mainly driven Hondas/Acuras but that is a feature that I’d love rather than sitting in the car for several minutes while it’s still 98 degrees and slowly cooling 🤣
