July 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Unfortunately, I'm not counting on it either. I'd love a test drive, but I really don't think that's going to happen. At that point, I just need to get out and see the colors. For me, I want one of these color shifting ones (pacific mist or silo green) and you really need to see them in the light. @cyure is showing amazing dedication will all the miles she and her husband are putting on to see these!

The Terra in Silo green will be there on the 26th. My husband typically tries to take pictures throughout the day to get different lighting to see how the colors shift. I’m sure he will do the same thing during that event.

We are having a great time! Each trip is an adventure and combines my love of all things Scout and his love of all things photography.

Question: Do all of our brothers and sisters in this group feel like Scout will use 2027 to build enough Travelers to supply all Service / Show locations with model that we can all drive and sample to decide exactly what option we are going to choose?

I believe they will but exactly what regional areas will be built will likely be in the air for a bit. I suspect they will do a traveling circus event where you sign up for regional locations, get your slot then show up to a mall parking lot or a dude ranch and test them as well as see the various color options. 1 or 2 car carrier trucks could easily accomplish this.

From what I recall, I believe Scout has said they will have 25 service centers in 16 major markets by launch. The last thing they want to do is sell a vehicle to someone who can't get anywhere near a service center. As for what cities those service centers are located, @cyure posted a picture (thanks again for all her and her husband's pics!) that appears to have a list of all the service centers Scout plans, though I'm guessing that's through 2032. I believe he numbers in parenthesis next to them represents the number of locations planned for that area. If I were a betting person (I'm not), I'd bet Scout will focus on the largest markets. These are the 15 largest markets in the US (or close to it): NYC, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, DC, Philly, Miami, ATL, Phoenix, Boston, San Fran, Seattle, Minneapolis, Denver. Add in Columbia, SC and you get 16. If you were to throw those on a map, you'd see they conveniently are fairly strewn about the US without any massive gaps. Are there gaps? Yes, but those will be filled in over time.

And those locations will also likely be prioritized with the highest EV ownership levels so demographic gets narrowed. My hunch anyway

I'm in LA and live a fre miles from a Rivian location (I think we have 4 in the LA area?). Hopefully Scout will aslo have one close to me. One can dream.

Scion did this with their FR-S launch. Traveling autocross circus setup with the various colors. Had a blast and bought one after that, despite them only having cars with automatic transmissions present.

Edit: Had a LOT of fun since they didn't know I had extensive auto-X/track history. Most people driving were regular Joes and had their collective mouths agape when I pulled back into the paddocks after my runs.

I can somewhat speak on that, but there is a Scout Sales storefront in St. Louis already, drove by it on the way to Trivia one night. So you have to look, but I think they are really moving out to big markets.

I can’t imagine why St. Louis won’t be part of this initial group. Denver is a little far and (political sniveling ahead) I don’t want anything to do with Chicago.

St. Louis has a disturbing amount of money in Private hands (which does somewhat explain some predicaments). Plus its still a relatively low COL state. The amount of Rivians, G-Wagens, etc is astonishing once you get South of Delmar and West of Downtown.

Also not saying that STL is a major market, but if they are already setup here then there is no shot that they haven't moved onto larger areas. That store front has been there since 2025
