Interior accent color

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Reviving an old thread here instead of starting a new one. This was primarily about accent colors, but what about over all colors and design? We have seen the two colors on the concepts. The Clay tannish color in the Traveler and the Canyon bluish gray in the Terra. Both are amazing. But, what would everyone like to see in interior colors? I’m sure there will be a black. Maybe there will be a more traditional light gray or beige/tan. My formerly owned 1980 has Sierra Tan. It’s has some similar hues to the Clay in the concept. I’d just like to hear what anyone else is thinking.
I love the clay color personally but when I met my wife she had a Mitsubishi eclipse (when still cool) in white and interior was done custom by the dealer in a medium gray blue color. It was an amazing color. I could see that with the off white textile top like the traveler had. I also think the clay color with a drab green color would be cool (I think the defender has a similar combo).
Personally I’m bored with black but the really dark gray in Terra was sharp to. I could see a pale warm gray and white combo just to brighten up the interior but probably would show a lot of dirt for hard core users.
I’d also be open to some Scout orange accent stitching or welts and still think a plaid cloth accent would be cool-maybe in the modern scout colors motif

I would love to have a solid gray or black surrounding a plaid that incorporates the color of the Rallye stripes. But I do love the colors in the Traveler already too.

My Jeep Comanche is gold. The interior is in super good shape. It’s a tan color. But, I wanted to protect the seats so I put a saddle blanket style cover on it. It looks great! Long story short, I could see a modern take on saddle blanket looking really good with yellow exterior.

You could also go beach/coastal with yellow exterior by having a natural color interior that conveys sand and sea grass.
My Wrangler is black and I got the official black seat covers from Jeep. I haven’t sat in the seat without that cover on in years.

The Ineos Grenadier has a saddle leather option and it’s really pretty. As long as it’s the dark brown. I had tan interior on my 3 BMWs. One the carpet got so dirty I had it replaced and that was a pain in the neck. They have to take the whole car interior apart to do it and it didn’t quite go back together properly the first time so I was getting ac blowing out of weird places. I had to take it back to get fixed. Seating surfaces can be lighter but I want darker carpet that doesn’t show dirt. Or better yet, no carpet at all.

This is from a Volvo Ocean Race edition. Kinda similar to what you’re saying.

Same. Totally bored with black. I really like the idea of a blue with the yellow.

I just don’t want to go too crazy with colors. I don’t like red interiors at all. Not my preference. I do like the color combos they have in the M3 comps but they can get a little busy.

I hear you in the carpet. Hopefully, it’s like marine grade carpet. Anyway, this is the color interior Amido in my BMW.

We’re about to get an Ineos dealer here in Charleston. I see several every day, so I guess it makes sense.
Test drove it twice. You have to go try one just to say you did it. There’s things I love love about that car. Exterior and the safari windows are awesome. The look got me. But the price, mileage, steering and no gauge cluster in front of your face I just couldn’t get past.

I like Mazda’s red interior because it has a touch of terracotta. As an Acura fan I despise their red- like hooker lipstick red 😀. That said, a more terracotta colored brown could look good.
I had hopes for the new Nissan Z blue interior but it’s too bright.
How about a medium brown and white leather like the old buster brown shoes for those of us old enough to remember 😀

Mazda has the best red exterior I think. It’s like no other red out there.

Oh, so maybe Scout shouldn't do the Pierre Cardin interior treatment like AMC in 1972-1973. Too busy? 😂
