  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Cyure and I had a side exchange in a separate thread about binging on Scout videos. Here is a collection of my favorites, I hope some are new to some folks, looking forward to suggestions from others.

An interview with Scott Keogh from July 2023, talking about the early startup days.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGoamO2EDfA, 48 min

In the above interview Scott mentions talking to a small group of people from the IH Scout community. This is one of those guys talking about his experience of that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TTHjC7RKHg, 7 min

Tommy Mica from TFL went to the October 2024 reveal. The 9 minute videos are him talking about the Terra and Traveler at the reveal. The 14 minute is him recapping at home afterward, the 66 minute is him and Roman Mica talking in more depth.

This is about the reveal and designs from the perspective of someone in the IH Scout community. Interestingly he says a lot of the same things about the design as the designer in the next video.

An analysis of the new Scout designs from a car designer who went to CCS with Chris Benjamin and now teaches there.

An interview with Chris Benjamin from December 2024, a lot of it talking about his background and philosophy.

The Motor Trend interview with Scott Keogh in case someone has not seen it.

The ROMR guys talking about the Motor Trend interview. They have a decent but small off-roadish/truckish EV channel.

My favorite of the CES videos by Kyle from Out of Spec Reviews. A long section with one of the UI lead designers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3nZmFJ0THY, 57 min

An interview with SM head of product marketing Shaheen Karimian from November 2024, skip to 59:30 the first hour is non-Scout stuff.

An interview with SM strategy director Ryan Decker from December 2024.

Thanks for putting this together. I havent seen most of these.

Also glad you highlighted the Motor Trend Interview. Scott says something important here (Bookmarked right before he mentions it)
about the Harvester option, he says that both models only lose around 2,000lbs in capacity if you have one. So the Terra should still be around 8,000lbs.

Edit: I must have heard what I wanted to earlier. He mentions 2,000lb then says you only lose a little towing capacity. That was my bad.

Nah, my favorite part of the CES Out of Spec was seeing the man the myth the legend @Jamie@ScoutMotors!

Great catch! There has been so much angst over the Jay Leno video, good to put it to rest. The timestamp is 15:50 for anyone watching it not through the bookmarked clip.

Morning AlanL. Thanks for posting all those videos the other day. I finally had a chance to look at them I didn’t have a bunch of the older ones and I have added them to my playlist. Have a great Friday and weekend!

The Benj on Autoline is my favorite, really all of these are i think in total roughly 100 of the views on each of these videos are from me, from the time they came out till now I still watch them
My husband is downloading them for me and made a playlist for me on our Apple TV. He has made me a Scout TV channel essentially. Ha!
