Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I’m really hoping it isn’t - I really don’t like neutral colored cars and I am hoping to see a bright color with graphics. I will still be happy to see it in person either way
Oh, I agree. White and all the shades of grey to black are the least interesting possible colors to me.

Rivian just swapped one grey for another and made a big news story out of it. I can’t even begin to tell you what the difference is between them, besides the name and perhaps some kind of change in overall brightness value.

They look like the same color with a slight change in lighting. Yawn. When I recently went to test drive an R1S, they had all the colorful vehicles out. Not a grey in sight. And yet half of their color options are grey. What’s the point of all that boring?

I saw that the other day. I thought it was ridiculous.

It looks like Pacific Blue in different light, could be wrong, but my cactus grey Bronco shifts based on lighting and this reminds me of that.
Pacific Mist doesn’t look that white though. It goes green. I don’t see any blue green in that. It really looks white to me.

Picture from Chicago that illustrates really well what Pacific Mist does. Left side blue, right side green.

The pacific mist shifts colors like the cactus gray on Broncos but because Scout is a tri-coat and heavier metallic it looks much more substantial as it changes vs the Broncos both are chameleons though for sure

Due to the metallic the PM goes pale silver rather than white. Got to see a pic of it in the paint booth and it looked 100% silver. Was amazing what the lighting did to wash out the blue tone

I want a V-6 engine. Hope that happens
Ha! Never have I said I hope you get the SCOUT that you want. I hope everyone gets what they want. If you want a V6 and the Scouts aren’t going to have them then buy a vehicle with a V6. I’m very much for everyone making the choices that work for them, their families and makes them happy.
