Goldman Sachs: Oil Prices To Drop to $53 In 2026
It’s to see how sucky the painting is done, and how resistant the panels are.
Audi is gonna keep Scout making money! It might not be too bad after all. The question is what is this thing going to look like? Obviously not as beautiful as a Scout, because we all know as you get richer your taste of style seems to drop.
And it looks like it’s not coming out until 2028.
I wonder if they'll try and do a SUV version with a modern take on the old Audi Quattro that they won the WRC and play off that off-road rally type heritage.

It was hinted at the reveal by SM and VEAG members if that helps. Wasn’t stated publicly but I’m sure 4-6 months after Scouts start rolling out Audi will announce start of productionScouts will be for the Out in Field Working Class of America and Enthusiast, don't want to hurt people's feelings. And Audis will likely be a bubble looking off-roader, that's for the Big Man that sits on his bottom all day looking at his computer, getting paid millions of dollars a year.
Scout will have its own Market place. The only thing is that I haven't seen one reliable source reporting it yet. Only reliable source is taht the CEO of Audi has "hinted" at making a G class competitor.
Oh man, I've been watching for this one for a while.
And it sounds like their launch edition is a special MOAB edition for the $65,000. I have the 2013 MOAB edition of my Wrangler and it came with all the options available at the time. Special wheels, steel bumpers, etc. I’m curious to see what the Recon comes with for that price.Oh man, I've been watching for this one for a while.
This was the one I was originally interested in to replace my Jeep ZJ. But the Scout was more to my taste.
That said, there are some interesting parallels to draw here.
But, this has me somewhat worried/interested to see how Scout manages. Because they are saying ~350 miles of EV range, on a MINIMUM of 33's, with what... 120-135kwh battery?
- They have a 100KWh battery, and 250 miles of range.
- So at best a 2.5 miles per KWh efficiency.
- $65k
- Mechanical lockers
- UP to 33in tires.
- A different gearing range on the rear axle for the offroad trim (I am a bit surprised we didn't see the 2 speed gearbox they patented for EV's... maybe that will be for the actual wrangler EV, as teh Recon is supposed to be a step down from the Wrangler in offroad prowess
Scam Alert!!!
But 350 miles has never been claimed as base. My guess is recon will get an upgrade battery option as wellOh man, I've been watching for this one for a while.

Got to agree with you on this. But 350 miles has never been claimed as base. My guess is recon will get an upgrade battery option as well
I wouldn’t buy one but I’m really curious what features you get for $67,000. We all keep wondering what the Scout features will be for the price and this is the only EV off road vehicle that I can think of that’s coming out to get some sort of idea.![]()

I wouldn't be comparing them. Scout is a total different beast, young and fresh blood. Jeeps are old and washed up, and let alone overly expensive.I wouldn’t buy one but I’m really curious what features you get for $67,000.
