It looks almost like a Jeep Renegade, Kei car mix.Gives me Jeep Renegade vibes.
Well to start off -bahahahahaha! If I say I heard from a SM employee take that with 94.496% accuracy-all subject to change. Anything else I say may be logical, reasonable or utter BS!I’ll make this more simple for everyone, Don’t believe anything you read. Unless it’s from Jamie or @J Alynn
I can’t see any way in why the BEV would delay. This started out being EV and to then put it on hold and offer EREV seems crazy to me personally. But u til they tell us I guess it will be wait and seeHere’s a question. If the BEV is delayed a year, would you get an EREV instead of waiting? I asked myself this and wasn’t able to come up with a definitive answer.
I still think EREV will be higher just due to covering engineering costs. They are fighting to keep the BEV u see $60K so you can’t exactly throw money on the EV side to offset R&D and now the base BEV is $63-64kI am still torn, but I am also impulsive, so this may be what tips the needle to the Harvester option for me.
Though there are still a few variables.
What I would like to know up front, is what the price difference will be.
If its $7k for the Harvester option as some have speculated, I would just wait for a BEV.
Their (Scout's) cost will be similar between both models so I wouldnt want to pay that premium especially when maintenance costs are also higher over the lifetime of the vehicle.
If they cost the same upfront I will probably take the Harvester model sooner.
That thing is terrible looking. Complete failDidn't do it justice.
Uglier than a Pontiac Aztek-That C-Pillar looks horrible. And something weird is going on around the fender flares in the rear, with the rear of the vehicle.

It's a shame, Toyota had a good foundation to build off of from the FJ Cruiser. At least we won't be disappointed if it doesn't make it to the states. Now the 70 series on the other hand....Uglier than a Pontiac Aztek-![]()
Well said and it is sad. The more recent retro inspired vehicles all seem to be hitting a great balance of new, old and evolved design cues but as much as the original was desirable, this just went the wrong direction AND the proportions are just odd! It's a shame, Toyota had a good foundation to build off of from the FJ Cruiser. It's based on the Hilux platform (IMV) so it's probably rugged and capable.Didn't do it justice.

Faith and patience.I can’t see any way in why the BEV would delay. This started out being EV and to then put it on hold and offer EREV seems crazy to me personally. But u til they tell us I guess it will be wait and see
I really liked the old FJs. I don’t like this at all. It's a shame, Toyota had a good foundation to build off of from the FJ Cruiser. At least we won't be disappointed if it doesn't make it to the states. Now the 70 series on the other hand....
They need to keep it like the old one. We had one. It was a good looking vehicle. And it came in yellow. We had black, but still.Maybe there’s hope that the new Nissan Xterra will hit the proper design cues
I could see thm being pretty similar in price considering they will both be built on the same production line. Not two separate lines. That keeps costs down alot.I am still torn, but I am also impulsive, so this may be what tips the needle to the Harvester option for me.

What I don’t get in the article is they imply VW is hemorrhaging money so instead of ramping up the Scout with the BEV’s they should sit around and wait 4-6 months longer until the EREV is ready. That makes no sense to me. Start the BEVs, get the production ramped up so as soon as EREV’s are ready they can crank up the production line to push out the erev’sTiming on everything is very much dependent on a number of variables and is not finalized. Lots of speculation out there.
Im still confused on the article for the reason of that VW hasn't said one thing about low funds. The last time they reported that was last December. And plus Scout Motors is built to go public if needed. So i see no issue funding wises. Seems to be false information totally. And almost every Car company is struggling at the moment. Due to no stability in the tariffs. Once that gets sorted out and stable the car market will be completely different. What I don’t get in the article is they imply VW is hemorrhaging money so instead of ramping up the Scout with the BEV’s they should sit around and wait 4-6 months longer until the EREV is ready. There so much info to keep up with, so I may have missed it. Has it been confirmed that the EREV is behind the timeline of the BEV?What I don’t get in the article is they imply VW is hemorrhaging money so instead of ramping up the Scout with the BEV’s they should sit around and wait 4-6 months longer until the EREV is ready.
