Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
RSX seemed fine but didn't think much of radical yellow, so I asked ChatGPT to prep an image in a more mainstream color - green. Now I can't unsee this -

I still don’t like it but gotta say when you throw on a color that screams Look at Me I seem less bothered by shape and styling. Weird!!! Maybe it’s because I’d never buy a car that color so no fear subconsciously

I’m sorry some vehicles should not go for an off road look. Infiniti? No thanks.

Actually the Nissan Armada and it’s “middle Eastern” version (drawing a blank on name) are very popular overseas in the UAE and those areas so while it doesn’t make tons of sense here in the U.S. I see a case for overseas.

They get so many fun things overseas that we don’t get. But now with the Scout we will get something fun they don’t, so there!

It's the Patrol. In much of the world, it's as legendary as the Toyota Land Cruiser. Here's a picture of one that belongs to a friend of mine in Australia.

Thanks for the save on the name. Was busy when I posted and for the life of me couldn’t remember it. My issue with Infiniti is how expensive they are and now your gonna off road it. Those things will be $120K until people get them built out

Honestly this would probably be my next choice if the Scout Traveler doesnt flesh out.

This is the first year that the USA is getting the global Nissan Patrol instead of the neutered Armada version.

If Infiniti is offering an offroad spec Q on the same platform I would buy it over the Lexus LX700h Overtrail since the Nissan will have a much larger fuel tank and great offroad performance.

I honestly just hope everyone gets what they want.

Can’t argue with that logic

Not bad, Jamie… ??
I’m not sure what you are looking for me to say regarding Ford’s concept.

Rollover safety is the biggest issue that needs to be overcome with a taller truck platform that has a removable roof. Basically you would need to add a full roll cage or some type of mechanical pop-up device - especially if you are marketing it as an off-road capable vehicle. Add in that the two-door coupe market (especially with only two seats) is very soft at the moment, making a business case for this really difficult.

I think there is a creative way to achieve something modern like this with more flexibility and better suited to the market. Scout will produce more than just two vehicle models in the future.
