Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I thought we had a thread to post Scouts we see for sale but I can’t remember what it’s called so I’m
Just putting this here. Since talking to my brother all about the Scouts now he’s looking for Scouts. He texted me this this morning saying if he had the money he would buy it. 😹

It’s beautiful.

Rivian is reducing its workforce by 4.5%. The hits come mostly in customer-facing departments and the marketing department. I think the streamlining Rivian is doing in the customer-facing space would be good. When I was trying to buy a truck from them, it was never clear to me with whom I was speaking about which aspect of the process. I hope Scout Motors watches the changes here closely. The challenges Rivian is facing will be similar to the ones Scout faces with their direct-to-consumer and in-house maintenance and repairs models.

  • Streamlining the Customer Journey: To provide a seamless experience for our customers, we are integrating the Vehicle Operations workstreams into the Service organization to create fewer customer handoffs and clearer ownership. We are also integrating the Delivery and Mobile Operations into the Sales organization to ensure the purchase experience is as seamless as possible with a single touchpoint throughout the entire sales process and to delivery.
  • Elevating Our Marketing Efforts: Historically we have had multiple functions that collectively capture what would typically be housed in a single marketing organization. We have made the decision to form a single marketing organization, and while we recruit our first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), I will be acting as Interim CMO. Our Marketing Experiences team, led by Denise Cherry, and the Creative Studio team, led by Matt Soldan, will both report directly to me for now.

I just feel bad as it affects people in my town.

Scott Keogh on Bloomberg. Highlights: Regarding the Harvester models being made first, both models are being developed in parallel. 80% of reservations are for Harvesters. Scout "would probably lean with the EREV, but nothing we've announced yet". They will announce as soon as possible. Over 130k reservations. The plant will take around 3 years to achieve full capacity. Scott said he doesn't see Scout offering an ICE-only vehicle. Performance figures: over 600 hp, 1000 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, 500 miles of range. Making vehicles for other brands is "an absolute possibility", but nothing to announce. Direct-to-consumer is harder, but it's the right way.
