  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

So was looking at some of the Tahitian red scout images and fortunately the trim around the windows is black and this far so it grill. Since we think roof will be a light, dark and body match-what should happen with the door pulls. I don’t think they should change per a package choice but should handles match body? Match the roof color if it isn’t body color? Or should they match wheel color selection? Or just stick with the gun metal gray currently shown? I’d prefer to to just have molded black plastic-I know that. But what if they were easy to replace and could be changed for personalization, kinda like Mini does. Say you get aftermarket or maybe factory bronze wheels-could you get bronze handles? What about mirror caps? Skid plates? Should you be able to choose skid plates in metallic or say low luster black? And what if the charger cover had a change out to look like a duplex receptacle-some might find that unique?

And while I’m thinking about it. Should the “grill” panels have color choices and how would that look? Would the tire carrier come in a metallic finish? Could the backpack be offered in colors that coordinate with the scout body paint colors? Or again-molded on outside to look like a pair of Duracell batteries (and a little pink rabbit emblem)?

Still going…

I know I definitely want contrast between the mirror caps and door handles and the body color. I’m planning on a dark roof so I would like whatever roof color, gunmetal grey or black mirror caps.

Now when you say metallic I just can’t picture that. Our Supra has carbon fiber mirror caps but it goes with the carbon fiber trim inside so I don’t think just having those be carbon figure would look good.

As for my rock sliders I’m hoping they have a texture to them. Makes them not slick if you step on them. I know they aren’t a step but mine stick out enough in the Jeep that you can step on the edge. When I say texture I mean like truck bed liner texture. My Jeep has steel bumpers and they put what I called a “sand paper sticker” on the bumper in the middle. So you don’t slip when you stand on it. The corners kept lifting and kept having to have it replaced. It was a dumb design. I asked every mechanic and detailer I came across what ideas they had to replace it. Finally one guy said your bumper is metal, just spray it with truck bed liner and then it will match the rock sliders. Problem solved and I really like it.

So mirror caps to match the dark roof. Textured rock sliders and I’m hoping they have steel bumpers as an option and if they do I would like those textured to match the rock sliders. Please and thank you.
