CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
By the way, this is exactly why I am in this forum. To have things brought up that I had not considered. I don’t go off-roading so really don’t need a brush bar, but want to have easy access to the frunk. So if the brush bar is going to be in the way then seems like I won’t be getting it. Thanks @Jkew

Now for all you people who like engines under hoods here you go.

OOOOOOHHH...SWEET! That is near the color of my 79 when it was new. Looks like the 345 engine...everything in there looking familiar. Mine is pretty clean under the hood but nothing like this. This makes me want to get mine looking like this again.
You totally should!

Yeah, the concept green thread shows that the concept bull bar would block the frunk slide. With the Lightning there’s not much clearance needed for the frunk to open, so I’m not sure the frunk opening would be impeded by that bull bar, but anything closer would definitely cause problems.

The bull bar as shown on the concept vehicle renderings is fairly useless for any kind of elk-stop, bull-bar, or stinger for off-roading anyway. It’s entirely an appearance over function add-on. It’s not fit for purpose.

And the little tray table is such a fun feature.

We’ve driven 5-8 hour drives where the passenger is on their laptop working. This would be so helpful for that. Especially if it had a charge port nearby or if one could plug in a charger inside the glove box and thread it out so it is available alongside the table/tray. So much more tidy than having a charge cable down in the footwell. And even better would be if the laptop could stay on the tray while the tray is closed so it could disappear from view...

Good observations. Plus the other thing I hadn’t considered, it blocks some of that pretty Scout grill. Decision made. No bursh bar.

I hope everyone has a nice holiday weekend!! Here is another picture of the back seat. It’s so nice the back seat floor is flat. I know ICE vehicles have room for 3 passengers in the back seat, but we always try and put the shortest smallest in the middle and they are never very comfortable. Its so nice it won’t be necessary to do that anymore.

Traveler back seat.

I have a question. Are the headlights and the LEDs warm yellow rather than white? If that is so, I will praise all the Lords for this - yellow lights are so, so much better. They cause far less glare for opposing drivers and eye strain at the same number of lumens.
Hello! A bunch of us have had the very same question. My husband took multiple pictures at different times of the day and from different angles. And honestly the lights look slightly different in all of them. I don’t think we have a definitive answer from SM yet.

Honestly I think it would be nice if it was an option in a menu somewhere that we could change the light color and pick which tone we like.

Next time someone takes photos of the Scouts with a good camera, they should turn off auto white balance so the color of the lights (and everything else) isn’t dependent on the camera. There may be a way to correct for each photo’s white balance, but it’ll depend on the camera, available software, and the photographer’s expertise.

At reveal they were the bright white but lately they seem to be looking warmer like 2500-3000K.
