  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Forum search didn't have any posts. so just curious, thanks!
ok, thanks! I'll be on the lookout too & post anything here I see. ?

I've got a Traveller on reserve & curious where it'll be positioned to minimize/balance the impact on departure angle versus the extension needed for my Rocky Mounts Guide Rail 2x mountain bike rack to clear the spare tire setup.

The concepts didn't have them, but the production vehicles will offer them. No word yet on location specifics.
ok, thanks Jamie!!!

It would be nice to have a 2” hitch standard on the traveler, along with the trailer wiring socket. This is something I always had to have added on to an SUV after purchasing from a dealer. It’s not a complicated thing to add, but it’s an extra step after getting the vehicle.

Oh… and how great would it be to have a tow camera. On the highway I’m always worried something might be coming loose from my load, particularly when I haul garbage bins or loose materials. Being able to glance at a tow camera once in a while to make sure everything is still secured would be great.

Yes a 2" hitch receiver is an absolute must have imho on both models. Please don't bury it to far under bumper. For us folks who pull small off road trailers having to use an extended draw bar to clear tire is a deal killer

For ICE cars a receiver was not enough to tow. You need transmission and oil coolers etc. or you just wear your vehicle out quickly etc. Hopefully the Scout still have all the important EV tower features? Trail brake control, backup assist, camera angles to help, blind spot monitoring for trailer etc.
I am sure they will. If thier mentioning towing capacity of 10,000 Terra and 8,000 Traveller then they have to be offering a tow package that includes everything you mentioned.

I thought Traveler was 7,000 lbs towing? I wish it was 8,000!

What the heck are people towing? 7k is more than enough to pull a compact tractor (like a 1025r), and certainly my boat (admittedly it’s a smaller sailboat)

I’ve always thought most towing capacities were surprisingly high on SUVs for what I’ve needed, but maybe some camper trailers are just crazy big these days.

Out west there is a large community of folks that pull thier off road trailers into the steep mountains. Alot like to go out all year long. Beefy well insulated trailers weight 5-10 k pounds. EV s are getting the range now that folks like us are very interested going this route.
