I mean, maybe this just isn't selling well? It looks like it is crying tears of pain. LOL.

Careful with the Reliability part of that comment... they have been stuck in a ringer recently.I'm also biased. Toyota has had a long list of "issues". They ceded any and all advantage that they could have had in the EV truck market domestically in the US directly to Rivian (and will do the same to Scout). I'm actually really happy about that. Very nice to be able to buy quality American-made trucks that will easily outperform any Toyota on the market. I'll give Toyota proper marks for value and reliability scores (because not everyone wants or needs an EV truck), but really that is all I will give to Toyota.
GM's Dexon is also gonna be out soon. Not good.
I just read an article saying lubricants are becoming a tough commodity due to the Iranian war. Costs are gonna become an impact
I didn’t realize it looks a little like a bulldog until I read your post!If my truck had a dang chin under its front bumper, i wouldn't want it either. Thats how they messed up with it. remove that and tehy will sell.
Where I live, where ag is still a top three industry, the Maverick might be the 3rd or 4th most popular vehicle here behind full-size pickups and HD diesels. Just about every farm and fleet store and ag service shop here has swapped their aging Frontiers and 2nd gen Tundras out for Mavericks.I remember on another forum years ago someone basically laughing at me for suggesting that the Maverick would be perfect for a small landscaper, pool cleaners, parts deliver, etc. They suggested they'd never be used that way. Yea... seems like about every 5th one I see is being used for those exact purposes. No need for a huge payload or towing capacity when you just need a spot for some dirty or noxious stuff.
Be nice if they just poached the Jimny design (more or less) and offer a small boxy SUV. Even the old Geo Tracker was cool as a small, boxy SUV. SM needs a small SUV as well, that’s the unit they should do with the 4-cylinder in the frunk with as much battery as they can under and make a one piece removable top. I’d buy that in a heart beatEurope. It’s always Europe that gets all the new stuff.

Oh Wow, Ford Is Building Some Kind Of Smaller Ford Bronco Hybrid - The Autopian
Good morning! I’m off to a Volvo event this morning and then, tomorrow, I’m off to a Ford event. What that Ford event is going to be about has been a bit of a secret up until now, although it was clear it was somehow about the Ford Bronco. Now I’ve got a better picture […]tinyurl.com
Thanks for sharing, I've never seen this before. The "Scout III" kinda looks like an 80s Blazer or future Slate Truck. Also, I like the instrument panel in the center, kinda like the Nissan Z.Fun article

Here's What The Scout Lineup Might Have Looked Like If International Harvester's SUV Had Made It To 1987 - The Autopian
If there is such a thing as an SUV historian, that person would say that 1980 was a year of bad timing for the then-emerging genre. American Motors launched its all-wheel-drive Eagle, which became a niche player, but it was way too early to market to become a 1965 Mustang-level success. Who the...www.theautopian.com
And this dash design (below) to accommodate these style cup holders. I remember something similar that would go in your driver/passenger window and periodically would fly out the window. Thanks for sharing, I've never seen this before. Also, the "TerraMax" seems like a incredible idea, especially for a shorter bed, after seeing this, I'm surprised we haven't seem something similar. Although I'm sure it would require a weight disclosure. The Bronco 4-door has a "Slide out tailgate" option which I do miss, hopefully aftermarket will do something similar for the Traveler.Remember those all too well
