Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Okay I am really thinking of driving out to this. So Bloomington, Illinois to Ohio. It’s about 4-1/2 hours each way. But legitimately I only care about seeing the prototypes. Any suggestions for things to do along the way if we decide to stay the night somewhere. 9 hours of driving in a day is doable. We have done it before. More in fact, but spending the night somewhere would be better. Any fun stops anyone can recommend? Quirky stops? Largest ball of twine? Biggest rocking chair? Ghost town? I’m up for suggestions.

Oliver winery near Bloomington Indiana isn’t too far out of the way. Then you could go Bloomington->Bloomington->Springfield->Bloomington, and it’s like you never left Illinois!

Dublin OH is about an extra hour east of we go there every year for a large tournament. One of the prettiest cities we’ve been too. Columbus has some cool areas (even though it is Ohio state territory ). I’m trying to talk my wife into it as a 6 hour+ trip so Dublin gets to be part of it

Dayton OH has the National Museum of the Air Force, and a lot of really incredible stuff if you’re into planes.

Also @Jamie@ScoutMotors any chance of being able to sit in the concepts, or are they still too irreplaceable?

I didn’t even think about that. Yes if I drive all that way I don’t want to be behind a velvet rope just looking at them or peering in the window.

@Jamie@ScoutMotors anything special you will be doing there for reservation holders who make the drive out to see them?

Unfortunately we can't let people sit in them as they are hand built concepts and don't handle the abuse well.

I think we will have some stickers to bring to the event, but nothing specific at this stage. We will have staff on hand that can answer questions and give tours.

But we aren’t THOSE people!!!! Wink, wink-nudge, nudge! We are FORUM FAMILY ( aah-not a good example-crazy uncles). We are FORUM FRIENDS! (Aah-always one bad/dumb friend). We are
PENN STATE (aah-only a few of us, skip it)
We are SCOUT MOTORS FORUM CONNOISSEURS!!! We are like fine wine (Boon’s Farm) or the finest aged beef (jerky).
I digress and have grown bored with this pandering effort.
@cyure will you be bringing your schnauzer if you go?
We should see who may or may not be planning to go and plan a time to all meet up. Could be fun! Or could be like a bad example given above

Some of the best people you meet in life are complete strangers on the internet using fake names and posting all kinds of nonsense during all hours of the day and night like they don’t have real jobs or family.

-What could go wrong they say?…..
-Exact things I tell my 20 year old daughter NOT to do
-Lifetime movie just waiting to be made.

FYI - my safety clearance/background checks are all up to date as of 1-1/2 months ago. I’m not the creepy one you need to worry about

We need to get them to NJ i have a-lot of spot they could go to. I ran a Mini event a few years ago. We had people from all over the country showing up.

And I will do the same security option for them. As if they were in D.C.
