I will opt for the storage box/tire on the back of my build, but yes, the interior is pretty sharp!Really? You think that high a percentage don’t want a tire carrier?
Okay peeps who don’t want a tire carrier, is this build what you imagined?

Tire carrier was always an option but the prototype was built with it so they had to build another without that setupThey had to roll this version out so they could upcharge us for the spare tire carrier!![]()
Yeah… so this is basically exactly my build. My only wish would be to take that finish and make it matte, but, honestly, we can put a bow on it right now and I will not complain. Absolutely stunningWe now have another Scout Traveler concept alongside our existing Traveler and Terra pickup truck concepts. The theme for this new Traveler is called Mountainside. Whereas our other Traveler showcases what an off-road-equipped Scout can look like, Mountainside shows a more urban and clean approach. It shows the Traveler for the first time without a rear tire carrier, no roof bars, a panoramic glass roof, 22" wheels, brown/black paint, and a stunning leather, houndstooth, tweed, and wood-accented interior. You can read more about it on Scout Stories HERE.

I do to as far as fabrics and covers but that wood is not my thing. I like very simple wood grainingman I love the interior.
I can see the brown in it. It’s a beautiful color if you like neutrals. My daughter said it’s probably her favorite colorThe blog says “deep charcoal brown,” but I’m seeing very dark grey or black. I wonder how much the brown comes out in different light. It would be good to see these in different times of day. It’s too dark for me, personally—black vehicles just love to absorb too much of the Arizona sun.
I thought color was morning dusk, which confuses me Shouldn’t it be morning dawn or is it the wee hours of the night? Either way I think the color is very rich. One thing I think we’ve established with the exterior colors; Pacific Mist, Silo, Galvanized Gray, and now Morning Roast, is that the team really likes colors that have the ability to shift and “flip-flop” depending on the lighting. That subtle change in tone and character seems to be a common thread across the colors.
I doubt it. They just started first steps so probably made by same company that made the initial prototypewas any of this concept made at the Blythewood facility?
I’m happy so many people like this. I like it with tire carrier but in this color I could live without the tire carrierYeah… so this is basically exactly my build. There was a patent image posted yesterday that shows the plate on the tire carrier but not 100% sure until SM confirmswhere does the rear plate go if there is a tire carrier?
No way they finished it that quickly and plant is still being worked on.Maybe I misread it, but this sounds like a second Traveler concept vehicle.
"The new trail-ready Scout Traveler concept vehicle, Mountainside Scout Traveler SUV and Scout Terra concepts will make their debut at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, September 4–6, 2026."
As such, I have to assume this is what happened to the body that we previously saw in the factory, though maybe I'm connecting dots where there are none.
I’m OK with it surprisinglyI hope it’s more off to the side on the carrier and not smack in the middle like that.
Jamie mentioned somewhere that there will be opportunities but didn’t elaborateDoes anyone have any idea of whether Scout will have all these colors for us to look at in person (assuming we want to go where they have them) when it comes time to purchase? I LOVE these light-shifting colors like Pacific Mist, Silo Green, and the new Morning Dusk. I will likely get one. But colors are really personal and I'm going to want to see them before I choose one so I know if it's really right for me.
Every time I’ve seen the vehicle the center UX screen is parallel to the dash faceI've never noticed it before, and can't tell if it's just an odd camera angle on this new model, but is the driver's screen not perpendicular to the driver?
@cyure - can you take a look in your library-o'-pictures and check? Heck, you've seen them enough at this point, you might know off the top of your head!
Your crazy. Looks the same to meAm I crazy or does either the steering wheel look smaller or the stalk look longer?
