5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

Don't we need hydrodynamics for the beaver? What do I know! LOL.

And since we are on a truck site talking external aerodynamics, this might be interesting to some:

I'm rather surprised the Drag Coefficient for the Silverado is as low as it is. Chevy took the brute force method on everything else....kinda figured they wouldn't have worried that much about Aerodynamic Efficiency. Glad to see I was wrong.

Not at all surprised to see the Hummer at the bottom of the list. H1, H2, H3, HEV.......all bricks!

Im with you...i think many are. This has to do with the positioning of the gas engine at the rear and the tongue weight. I think its inescapable and definitely has me rethinking the reservation type. Plus, with the delays, its quite possible that advances in batteries might nake the whole platform obsolete by the time it actually rolls out! Imagine they now take a couple extra years, or more, to finally roll out an erev that costs more and has less range and lower performance than a competitors bev...or thier own! And this after having spent those years tooling up for anticipated high erev uptake that does not materialize. This whole thing might just have gone the way of the ID buzz.

This has been my biggest concern from day one, with the timeline they announced. Now production is pushed to '28. I would happily give up my frunk to get an erev w 10k towing. But have already shifted my thinking twd the Terra BEV, because we're planning on a 10k camper in '28. I REALLY want the Scout mech lockers and SBD, but if they push production again I'll prob go R1T

Agree completely! But couldn't wait any longer for a Terra of either flavor. (My daily driver had 327K miles.) Now driving a '23 R1T with off road package. It isn't a one-to-one substitute. But the battery/motor warranty gets me to 2030...
