FB find of the day

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Thanks for the post. Just realizing that there is this event next to the plant at Blythewood. I was planning to see the concepts downtown Columbia on Sunday, but this looks to be much better.
I should probably post on the extra, extra too. Was hoping somebody benefitted from it

Aww man I wish I found out about this sooner! I wont be able to make this one, but I will be going to show the Sunday before. Also planning on driving up to Blythewood afterwards for a plant drive bye. 🤙
Just to be clear, the showing on Sunday is in Irmo, not downtown Columbia (Saturday only). @Jamie@ScoutMotors posted additional info for Sunday...

I just didn't want you to miss the event. I am considering whether I'll try to make both events Sunday and Monday.

I need to set low expectations...
My wife says I am the worst photographer EVER! BUT... for my friends in this community, I intend to do my best. I know how important the photos are to those that can't attend. I have truly appreciated those that your husband and others have posted.

I have reviewed the rules that @J Alynn posted elsewhere. I doubt I can meet those expectations! 😅 But I do recall him also stating, that if there aren't photos...it didn't happen. :ROFLMAO:

Bring a tape measure too, but not a metal one lest you get dropped by Agent K. Think a soft tape measure for sewing. Floor height to ground, frunk floor to ground, trunk floor to ground, swing out carrier length, frunk size, trunk size, etc.

My husband always says even if you just get one good picture it’s worth it. Who cares about the ones that don’t turn out. For example, in Chicago he took 500 pictures in less than 2 hours. Were there lots of duplicates, yes. Did they all turn out, no. But I got enough to post for days on here and give everyone a really good idea of the event and all the different angles of the Traveler. We will all appreciate any pictures you get, especially if the Traveler has a new livery!

Knowing the overall opening of the frunk, width, height would be great! I know I have an idea of how I want to utilize that space, but don’t know if it can technically be done as-is. I assume for the most part the overall area will remain mostly unchanged into production.

I got the swing out carrier length with the iPhone measuring tool. If this is what you are talking about.

But yes any measurements are appreciated.

I need to learn to type responses then let them sit a day or two and self edit before I hit send 🤣

Great list. May I add back of rear seats to inside edge of hatch to get an idea of storage depth with seats up? Thanks
And if you could drag a CPR body, say large child, small adult size to gauge frunk capacity that would be great
(Should let this sit for a day for self edit note)

I might open up Pandora's box here, but the back end of the Scout's is like the front end of the Rivian for me, I just don't really like it, and I even own a Rivian lol! I get for Rivian the primary function of the design was so it was instantly recognizable, and well I would definitely say that was achieved but at a cost. Now with that being said I do think there are a few angles of the front of the Rivian that looks good.

However, I think the back of the Scout has too much surround lighting especially on the Terra. At least with the Traveler the spare tire or backpack breaks things up a good bit. I'd be interested to know if this surround lighting was going to make it to production or not. Is there any information on this?

I personally really like it but everyone’s tastes are different. We haven’t heard one way or the other on that particular feature that I am aware of.

I don’t think there’s been anything said for sure one way or the other. I would guess if they did eliminate any part of that design element it would only be the light bars going across on the lower spec models. I’d bet it stays on higher end ones.
