From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. The new longroof design will be a variant of the Polestar 4, which straddles the boundary between car and SUV with a sloping roofline and no rear window.

The Chinese car market, much like Hyundai was in its infancy is so good at stealing elements from several manufacturers and merging them together. But now there is a diesel hybrid so if they bring it to our shores it should sell like hot cakes

I wonder why sometime when I paste the link it shows the picture and headline. Other times it just pastes the acutal link. I don't do anything any differently.
I guess because Chery does not intend to sell where the Scout will sell and Scout will not sell outside the US and maybe Canada it does not qualify for a "trade dress" lawsuit. That is how and why Jeep sued Mahindra for their Roxor looking too much like a CJ.
Looking at that it makes me wonder did they just ask AI to make them a truck. Honestly. Nothing creative about it.
I keep thinking the same thing with most new Chinese vehicles. They just asked AI for a blend of different vehicles and picked the result they liked the best. To be fair, it's not a bad approach, and I've seen MANY AI-vehicle renderings that look better than most new cars on the road.
Apple News and other aggregators interfere with the preview function (and often with the ability for some of us to use the link). Whenever possible, copying the original url instead of copying through the aggregation app is better.
