From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Good to hear old trucks running. Got to hear my truck turn over and run for the first time in almost 2 weeks. God do they out a smile on the face when you hear that old man exhaust burbling. I just don't know if an EV will ever be able to do that.

No I didn’t. I stuck with the white because I feel like it broke up the gold color nicely. I still got the bronze wheels. Just gotta find another use for them.

As much as I hate on NJ for the stupidity that our government here is, our classics are highly protected which I love. No emission checks no inspections. And a bunch of other perk. And we don't need to be registered as a classic/historic vehicle. We can put normal vehicle plates on.

1975 or older are exempt from smog check requirements here in CA. But in some CA counties there is no smog requirements.
That’s primarily another youth thing. As you get older your hearing starts to go so those joyful exhaust notes start sounding muffled and you suddenly realize silence and the radio blasting are so much better

Funny part is that my truck is the quietest out of The two Minis and the chevy Silverado. And those all have the most emissions equipment. Ha! My Z28 had dual glass packs. Everyone knew when I was on the way!
I got pulled over once for rolling a stop sign. While one cop was writing me a ticket the other was walking around my car asking me if I knew why it was so loud. My 17 year old self played dumb. I have no idea officer. Knowing full well one of those glass packs had a hole in it.So did my Scout before it died
I just had this random thought pop into my head. "I wonder who Scout Motors first reservation holder was on reveal day". I know there’s really no way to decipher the reservation numbers to figure it out, but it makes me curious. I was pretty quick with my reservation during the reveal, but I doubt it was me lol. Just out of curiosity, does Scout even know who it was @Jamie@ScoutMotors ? I did not know where else to post this random thought so I decided to on this thread.
