We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. They talk about test mules like it’s something brand new but they did winter testing a while ago. So I’m not sure how new this is.
These might have more close scout looking bodies on them. the old mules looked like scraps thrown over a frame.

I’m curious (not arguing, genuinely want to understand), I never felt like info about the environment and EVs was in any way telling me I’m stupid, just pointing out benefits of EVs and problems with burning fossil fuels. I can understand resistance to being told what to do, but ca you help me understand what happened that made people feel insulted? Maybe there’s stuff I didn’t see?
I hope it looks good, I just don’t want them to change too much but what they did bring up, does make sense, due to manufacturing panels like that is very tough, with dies.
And the other parts like the market. And release seem reasonable. Seeing the media cars by late 2026 and deliveries by 2027 make complete sense.
Yeah it looks like it’s mainly just the side marker lights that’s changing but they’ll make it different to closely resemble the concepts.
Exactly what a good car company should do. Don’t make a concept that looks great and then release something that’s completely different.

Even if someone was creeping around your car, you could always call the cops if you felt like you were endangered. The reality? How many times have you felt endangered unplugging your car or truck? Probably the same number of times you have felt endangered getting out of your car at a gas station, a restaurant or at a mall parking lot. Seriously. Come on!
It’s really meant for the what if scenario. Like if you are charging in Trenton, Newark, Paterson, Camden. Where they don’t care, they just mug you.
But that’s what pocket knives are for, carry one in each area that’s reachable in my f150. I have at least 5 with arms reach.

I think there are legitimate fears some people have in various situations. I’m not going to question a particular person’s experiences nor the validity of their fears.
That said, these kinds of devices manufacture fear in exchange for your money and brain power. Save your money.

I guess FUD sells? But how does your EV eject button work when your done charging and you wheel your groceries back to the car? When you need to use a restroom? When you eat at a restaurant? I have charged all along the Jersey Turnpike on my way to the mid-Atlantic and have never had a remotely threatening experience (that is not to take away from anyone that has), but if getting in or out of your car is an issue for anything (not just charging) then maybe you shouldn't go there in the first place. Also, let's be honest, most charging stations are intentionally situated in high traffic areas, usually with amenities nearby. Most are well lit and almost all could be considered seemingly safer destinations than a standalone gas station. Sure, be vigilant and use common sense. But this device looks like it was manufactured by the oil and gas lobby.
