Driver settings memory

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I went ever further than that on a thread somewhere on here. I want multiple seating memories I can select in a screen somewhere based on my shoes I am wearing that day. I have Piloti driving shoes that have a very flat bottom and I need to be a little closer to the pedals than my very cushy tennis shoes and don’t get me started on if I’m wearing high heels or flats. So I would like a main setting that my fob puts it in and then other selections on the screen.

Our Lincoln allows Driver memory vehicle settings. Two of them connected to the drivers key-fob and a single auxiliary. We could use three more honestly.

I’m still for 3 program positions and if UX can be set to let @cyure and others who adjust based on shoes-even better. Maybe that’s what the 5 auxiliary switches could be used for-tie them to a deeply buried UX command

Pretty sure Rivian allows for up to 4 "Phone as a Key profiles" per vehicle, so if your family member accesses your truck with their smartphone, the profile associated with that phone key automatically adjusts to the saved settings for that driver (FWIW).

The discussion is really about allowing a single driver to have multiple profiles.

I'm hopeful for individual profiles that it will save all this for, whether that's through detecting the persons phone or just selecting the profile on the screen when you get in. I'd love if they could have adjustable pedals with memory as well.

I would love an adjustable dead pedal.
Oh man, that would be great. And honestly, even just being able to manually adjust it (like, even by crawling around down there), by 2-3in, would be a great level of customization that I've never seen before (although, that might make things difficult with floor mats.

Also, adjustable steering wheel is good... but I'd also like adjustable pedals, while we're dreaming.
