Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Ughh… I love everything about it…

I would love to see more photos/videos of the cargo box and bench. I’m trying to understand if they’re separate things or one and the same.

I really like those rims too. It gives such a nice chunky look compared to multi-spoke rims.

The color is perfect as well. I could 100% see myself ordering one in that color if no other green was available.

These pictures and this thread have me excited. I just wanted to share my thoughts:
  • I'm loving the "Clutch" 18 inch steelies look of the wheels, even if they wind up actually being alloys if they go into production. I think 18 inch wheels would still look great paired 35" tires and would have more than enough side wall for most offroad adventures
  • Good to know the side steps are not sliders, I think many people use the terms sliders, side steps, nerf bars, and running boards interchangeably without realizing there are functional differences but I am hoping Scout Motors does option functional sliders that can support the full weight of the vehicle, preferably with a kickout like @SpaceEVDriver mentioned earlier
  • I do wonder if the bull bar would impede using the frunk's pull out bench when frunkgating?
  • If Scout Motors decided to do a fabric plaid pattern interior option(s), maybe they could officially register it with the Scottish Register of Tartans. Think of all the swag and accessories that could have official Scout tartan branding
  • The green/gold "Silo" color is chef's kiss perfect!

Maybe Scout should see if they can get permission to use the McCormick tartan as a special Founders Edition.

Still a fan of plaid. I think SM should have their version of a Plaid model (like Tesla) but just literally do a plaid interior 🤣. Then give us (2) in your face plaid options. One lighter and one darker.

You need to start a thread in the Suggestion Box with this so I can up-vote this suggestion. Of all the trim options I have seen (in real life and suggested) this has to be one of the top three I have seen.

Love the plaid register suggestion.
