Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
As we have been talking about for a while now, the Terra recently underwent some surgery to get a fresh new color and a retheme. This predominantly green color has a heavy gold metallic and looks different depending on how the sun hits it - sometimes more gold, sometimes more green.

Exterior updates:
• Silo Green metallic Exterior Paint Color
• 37-inch BF Goodrich® K03® tires mounted on 18-inch “Clutch” wheels
• Off-road side-steps
• Bull Bar with integrated tow hooks and shackle hole
• Roof basket with pivoting, rear chase light pods
• Scout Supply cargo box with gear dividers
• Scout Supply gear bench

Interior updates:
• Terracotta accents on instrument panel, door and seat uppers,
• New headliner with a warm, heavy texture with tan, gray and brown tones
• Door straps match the headliner
• Door inserts also updated with perforated leather in plaid perforation pattern to match seats.
• Control Knobs and Toggles redesigned for a more rugged and improved tactile feel.
• Overhead console has been refined, containing more rugged controls and refined details focused on the compass with improved graphics.
• Steering wheel with Terracotta accent

Looks absolutely fantastic. Great job.

Anybody catch the front side markers are now amber-presumably to meet DOT requirements. They look better than I expected. Still liked when the warm white just wrapped through the corner but this still looks good and carries the linear design element
I really hope they make it an option when customizing. Or a way to change them in the UX

Given that they’re LEDs, a clever thing to do would be to turn them white when in off-road mode and traveling slower than, say 25 mph. A bit of a side light while going down a forest service road would be fantastic.

This looks amazing. Color is modern and really stands out from other EVs. Is it fair to assume that there is going to be an upgraded “off road” version of the Terra and this is what it will look like? So much going on here and I’m loving it but not sure what to make of this as it relates to production vehicle options. Or is this just a prototype to get feedback? Any additional insights on what options packages will be revealed for the Terra @Jamie@ScoutMotors ?

Now I’m going back to my Nats pics. Those knobs are quite a bit bigger.

Looks so good in this config. Can’t wait to see the Traveler.

I’m guessing that what we saw at the reveal was something similar to what a base model will look like for both Traveler and Terra.

Here’s a Question, what do the new overhead buttons look like?

The first vehicles shown at reveal are not base trim models. They had psuedo offroad package looks with the 35" tire set up.

Upper console switches aren't significantly different...

Don't read too much into the color of those yet. They updated them with color-adjustable LEDs and they aren't always consistent. I'd say to expect them to be a warm LED color but not so close to orange.

Ohhh I like that headliner quite a bit. I think I would like that headliner with plaid somewhere in the seats as opposed to plaid in the headliner.

I like the new ribbing they have on them. I don’t remember the old buttons having that.

Is this considered the off road package or the ranch hand package?

This is a concept. I don't think 37" tires are currently in the plan, but you never know.

The roof rack, side steps and cargo box are all considerations for future accessories. Overall this is a concept designed to get reaction and feedback. We are still working on trim and model lines.

The “off-road side steps” aren’t my favorite.

If they’re meant to be rock sliders, that sudden step *in toward the vehicle* just before the rear wheel will create some situations where the truck slides along the rock and then suddenly the rear panel is slammed up against the rock (and damaged). And now the vehicle is stuck: Can’t go forward because the body is jammed against the rock and can’t go in reverse because of the step in the slider. Most functional sliders have a rear kickout so the vehicle is pushed away from the rock right before the rear tire encounters it.

These are a variation of side steps that are a bit more functional than the side skirts on the original Terra concept. These aren's specifically designed to be rock sliders.

The design throughline of things like the little shackle hole that match the hood, bull bar, etc. is cute and clever.

In the strongest way possible, I hope 37s become part of the plan.

Only 2 production vehicles I know of with 37s are the Bronco Raptor and (iirc) an optional package on the Raptor/Raptor R.

It’d be a big differentiator, and way more importantly, they look cool af!

Yeah. I would imagine that if these are carried through to production, even with a disclaimer, someone’s going to cause themselves an expensive bit of damage. You can’t protect everyone from themselves.

Even better. Then one other angle still showed the side marker as the warm LED so figured it’s still being worked on
