Would be a real shame if Jamie dropped a reveal date......

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
As soon as we have the details locked in, I'll let you all know. :D
Any guarantees for the faithful that we can be first in line for FE edition? (IF it's worth it) Not sure I would have opted for the Bronco FE over my OBX but if I recall when the reservation banks opened all the FEs were spoken for already

Can't guarantee anything this far out. :D

I think it is plausible that we will take reservations when we reveal the vehicles. However specs, trim levels and more won't be finalized, so you won't have to worry about that part till you decide to convert your reservation to an order. Meanwhile the reservation will most likely be refundable.

I totally support a live countdown on the opening page of the first vehicle rolling off the production floor! It doesn't have to be a specific date- how about a quarter/ year? Gives some margin for error

Scout. “People. Connections. Community. Authenticity." Welcome to the Scout community. Enjoy the ride. 🛻 🚙
Remember the built in search on the forums is a great place to start getting answers to your many questions. 😀

One EV I was interested in, the company put a countdown timer on their website for a month or 2. Given it was a startup company, thought it would be for limited production (they had a couple test vehicles already built, and indicated they had several in service). Nope, just a different body style on the same frame - still essentially vaporware. Now, 2 years later they have finally reached limited production of 50 vehicles a year, and only to customers within 50 or so miles of the factory - beta testers.

What company?

French start up, Kilow. I still want the vehicle, but. It is a souped up golf cart-kind of. Lots lighter than a golf cart, with an off road suspension package - and weighs in about 600lbs (not 1200 like a golf cart). Plus it has a top speed close to 50mph. That said, they are French for France - and apparently not wanting to go international yet.

I have a SxS (tool not toy), ATV (toy not tool) for my ranch, but an electric cart would be fun too. At one point I had 7 miles of trails. For the time being, ditched the cart idea - got a horse. Good off road capability, does not require gas, silent operation, glitchy self driving wetware - but maintenance headache.

So you decreased power and increased emissions.
