Demo Days as Early Models are Produced

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Once Scout is closer to production for a few hundred models, it would be a nice offering to have “demo days” with customers who have a reservation. It could be nearest metro areas since logistically this would be challenging, or some other form of seeing one in-person.

I always think of the “this would be better for this car” ideas once I sit in it, drive it around, etc. Whatever version of this could be offered at a type “demo days” event would be cool to gather feedback and new ideas.

I would have to assume this is already to be planned for Scout. When I had a reservation for a R1T, I was invited to a demo day, and three separate personal test drive events. Zero were close to my home and I attended 2 of the 4 events. I would definitely fly across the country to demo a production vehicle near the factory 😀

Welcome and thanks for posting. I feel like this was suggested and maybe even a response saying something like that would be similar

I like that idea also. I would just like to fly out and look at it in person.

I bought a 1978 Scout II from New Legend/Anything Scout out in Iowa, flew out there for 2 days to see the truck/process and the builders, was a great trip...that said would go to a Scout show/demo day if it where close, and I am still not sure why they dont put out more details on options and pricing ,I think it would feed the hype more....

How fun you got to fly out and have that adventure.

As for pricing and options I think it’s still just a little too early yet. Launch is still over 2 years away. However, it has been noted on here the concepts are out of commission as they are being repainted. So I would suspect what’s next is we will see some new colors and options on the Traveler and Terra. I can’t wait for that. I’m very excited to see new potential colors.

With production two years away they are probably still finalizing it all and early pricing is a double edged sword. You scare away people who may have waited and saved but go buy something now that is cheaper because prices are rising with tariff impacts OR you under price things and costs go up and people can’t afford what they fell in love with. It would be great to know pricing today but I think it’s just too risky at this point

Yes "risky" is the right word. They will drop a pin on a date eventually.
