Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

White is a popular color here in Texas because its hotter than the Devils taint on a flaming saddle in July and August. You can literally burn your hand by touching a dark car for a few seconds.

This is not an anecdotal musing though. White vehicle have around 26% of the market share here.

If I had covered parking at work I might consider more exciting colors.
I can understand that and maybe if I ever move somewhere like Texas or Arizona I’ll consider white. It definitely wasn’t an issue in the UK that’s for sure! There was someone who had a cream Maserati and that looked awesome. A buddy of mine from a car club had a TVR Cerbera in white and that looked good too but I preferred black on that.

Rivian also introduce another blue recently, which is more of a blue/gray called "storm blue". This would look really good on the Terra.

It's Amazon van blue. 😂

They came out of the fair swinging on colors and have since dropped the ball a little bit. Storm blue is ok, but should have been better. Dune is just cream.

I like the Grenadier Scottish White (cream) and Magic Mushroom. Those are nice colors.

Magic Mushroom is on the left. Scottish white on the right. I was going to get one of those colors if I was going to get a Grenadier. But then I found the Scout and the rest is history.

That Magic Muchroom is nice! Have to be blck wheels I think. Not sure the bronze would go well.

I am not a fan of the mix and match Dune interior, or of light interiors in general... I would never get the Ocean Coast interior. In my house, that interior would be trashed in a week for sure.
I think the light on the upper part of the seats would be okay. But no light carpet and places where you rest your elbows and touch points so to speak need to be the darker color if it’s a two tone interior.

As much as dislike all black, the all black interior in my Wrangler still looks great after 12 years.

Ain't a gunna be no carpet in mine!

From your post to SMs ears. Same. I would really prefer no carpet.

One of the things I really like in the Grenadier was the interior coating. Ineos is a chemical company as well and one of the options is a floor coating that’s one of their products. The pattern reminded me of an epoxy garage floor pattern and it just seemed like it would be super easy to clean. If my Scout could have something like that I would much prefer it.

So wondering if I’m in the minority here but has anyone else wondered if the Traveler would look good with a white roof and the white ring on the sidewalls of the tires? Not talking full blown white-walls but just the 3/4”-1” wide white ring? Been pondering that on and off today and I kinda want to see it. Having just posted the original yellow Scout a bit ago I saw it again and figured I’d see if anyone has contemplated that idea?

I had not. I really want to see pale yellow with the roof color that’s on the Traveler concept. I’ll be so glad when we get to see colors.

The other day I saw a yellow Bronco sport with a white roof and white rims. I just know I don’t like that. So I don’t think I would like white on the tires at all.

I think you’re in the minority of the yellow minority. 😹

I think if you are going for 31" or similar smaller tires it would look great.

For 33"+ tires I think some White Letter BFG T/A K02s would look more appropriate.

I agree.

I’m not a fan of the white lettering. My DuraTracs have both. White lettering on one side and black lettering on the other. The tire shop turned the white lettering in so the black is front facing.

So if that’s how the tires are that I select for my Scout, I’m hoping Scout gives us a little box to check which side we want to see. Otherwise I’m taking it somewhere to have the tires flipped around.

P.S. I like that wheel you posted with the tire.

Absolutely, that would be a nice touch for the ordering guide.

P.S.S. When I grabbed that pic from the BFG site I was really liking those wheels as well.
