What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Having taught kids to drive I would like a mode where you can push one button for new driver mode and it has a speed limiter and turns on every safety feature and warning bell and light to high. Man I have seen my life flash before my eyes a few times teaching my kids.
That’s a really good idea! New driver/student driver mode seems like a cool idea. My dad would practice driving with me in… the cemetery when we’d go there to water flowers for my grandmother. He would reflexively stomp on his imaginary brake sometimes.

Well that seems like a safe place to learn. Not a lot of people to get in your way.

Oh I stomped on imaginary brakes and was known to grab the wheel on occasion. I would honestly rather get up all night with a newborn than teach a teen to drive.

Please stop yall.

My oldest is 10 and my youngest is 3. If you speak jive, “I’m cooked” is my first thought about my spawn driving.

The thought of teaching them how to drive is pretty terrifying.
I remember the days nearly 5 years ago. Other than occasional tailgating she’s been a great driver. But she’s also said her backup career is a race car driver so I think she just has a passion for it

God bless it 😂

You’re still alive though.

You might be raising the next Fangio so don’t snuff that flame out… just to be safe.

My oldest rode his dirtbike into a barbed wire fence some years ago. Little dude made me sell it after that and split the profits. I hope he remains gun shy about goosing the next thing he gets his hands on.

Part of me is leaning towards buying them each a Slate as a first car because they are dog slow and won’t get very far without a job and payment method. Lol

I can’t imagine barbed wire. Did he lay it down and slide in or upright on the fly? Either was I can see how that shook him up. I got tossed under a canoe between two rocks when I was like 11 or 12 and thought I was gonna drown -didn’t go near a boat for over 2 years until I was comfortable again and approached it totally differently so I’m gonna guess he’ll be the same. Slates would be good. Like an EV step above Flintstoning it! 😀

The little guy whiskey throttled it while he was looking at his front tire. He was upright and scooting faster than I could run to catch him. He just loves anything with wheels and couldn’t help himself.

Thankfully the throttle was limited and he wasn’t too torn up. Just a little rattled traumatized. Very grateful it not as bad as your canoe incident. We may not have ever gotten him to take a bath again after something like that 😂

I kept his Honda for several years and he refused to ride it so I let him decide if he wanted to sell it before listing it.

He will eventually come around, but I’m not rushing him!
