  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Numbers are not entirely unexpected. Less people in the younger groups can probably afford it. Oldest group - less online, and honestly less time to think that far ahead. Honestly - I don't want to wait till I am 60 for my next vehicle, life is too short. Likewise, the middle groups are probably more used to dealing with long reservation periods.

And the older mid group is the age to have experienced scouts. It’s tracking somewhat like I expected but just wondered where things would land.

Looks like I'm the far younger side.. Turning 30 next month.

I'm super excited for the Scout. Dunno a thing about heritage, I just think what the team has made is a beautiful, timeless design, and has an excellent approach to the technology/engineering.

I found out about the Scout while researching series hybrids and it immediately shot to the top of my wishlist by a substantial margin.

Another baby.

And that’s another interesting question. How did you find out about the Scout? Thread incoming.

That’s awesome that you’re a fan without even considering the heritage. And out of fairness-the vintage scouts still look great today and the new design is definitely a knock out

This is encouraging. I assumed everyone would be closer to me (73, and tired of all the Boomer-hate BTW). I’m glad to see so many younger families here. This tells me Scout has an even better chance of long-term success.
Some of the younger folks likely accompanied their parents to classic car shows and got the chance to see the cars their parents once longed for.

Pontiac comes to mind for me. I can remember growing up in the midst of the restoration of a pre 70s GTO. Lots of good memories at car shows and seeing some very unique vehicles whose brands no longer existed.

Also believe the younger generation likes electrification and combine that with a more rugged appearance and that’s enough to at least get them looking into the new scout brand.
