Trailer Options?

I know we won’t see detailed performance/range impact numbers for the Terra and Traveler for a while but the projected 10k and 7k towing capacity is impressive. Do we have any projections on the GVWR numbers to get a better idea on what real world applications will be like? I feel like a light overland trailer that has a small cabin or mounts for a rooftop tent (or both) with added water, fuel, and maybe even an expanded battery bank to help offset the decrease in performance caused by pulling the trailer would pair really well with the traveler for ‘Getting out in a Scout’ adventures.

Nothing probably exists now on the market but it would not be too challenging for a shop to build something small with matching body lines and ground clearance to the Scout so it would look like they really belong together when cruising down the road or for the first new Scout to tackle the TAT (TransAmerica Trail).

Based on other similar electric vehicles (Lightning, R1T, R1S) with similar ranges, you can expect the BEV to have a GVWR between about 7500 to 8500 pounds with a payload of between about 1500 and 2000 pounds.

This is a bit dated and great to show several off-road trailers but these are all very small and for 3,500 pound towing capacity Jeep wranglers and I only mention this because worst case senirio the Harvester Scouts will be able to handle hardsided standups with interior wet bath and gray and fresh water tanks. Also Xgrid in Vegas carries other off road trailers as well.

<rant>Why can't blog posts or article like these include publication dates? It is so annoying to see something like this an not be able to tell, until you start following the links to products, that the article was written X years ago. And now all the products suggested are either no longer available or have been replaced with newer (and much different) models.</rant>
