The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Same here. My husband keeps saying he’s expecting $80. So at least I know he’s prepared for the cost that my Scout will need to be to make it fabulous. But I am secretly hoping it will be more like $65.
Aren’t they quoting $50-60k with the EV incentive to start? I’m sure plenty upgrades and higher trim packages but starting it under 60 isn’t horrible. Maybe they will also offer a ton of accessories that can be chosen down the road.
At least at a minimum it will be dual motor with off roader capability including front and rear lockers and the 350 range for basic. I’m really hoping for a very decent stock stereo system or an affordable upgrade.

The reveal they did say $50 to $60 and I agree, that’s very reasonable. My husband just knows me and I start adding things and the price tends to go up.

Yes but incentives will be gone so probably at 60-63k of I’m guessing and won’t take long to add another $10K in options

Rear locker is standard. Front locker has always been mentioned as optional.

There’s the different tire size, optional roof rack and lights, satellite connectivity, the 3 different roof options, just to name a few. Like any vehicle I would expect options and trim packages. And I’m just kinda going by what’s out there. The new 4Runner starts low 40s for the SR5 and goes all the way up to high $60s for the TRD pro. We just have to wait and see how many trims the Scout has and what options are available.

Whatever they ultimately end up offering It’s going to be so much fun building my Scout.

Probably use the roads 😀
Yeah, yeah. I think access to the Red House via Blythewood Rd. is a bit west of the road that provides best view of construction - Locklier Rd. or Community Rd.? But don't know what roads/accesses/entry points are available/best for trespassing viewing, etc.

We're arriving Sat night from VA, staying at the delightful and luxurious Home2 Suites nearby. Will check it out Sun AM then continue on our family spring break road trip.

I’m doing a drive-by this weekend, how best to navigate around the site?
there might be a gate, since it's the weekend it may or may not be occupied so be careful. At that gate there might be a chain with a padlock. take your car and ram into it. Then you will be in.

Better yet go up to the little brick house and knock on the door.

Yeah thats my issue also. I couldn't grab the bronco base model but had to get the Wildtrak with the 35'' tires, Sasquatch Hoss 3.0 suspension etc. Hopefully tires and a lift packe OEM with cabana top isnt bank breaking lol

Why are incentives gone? I saw on the deposit form or elsewhere it said below 60k with incentives.
Incentives haven't left yet. Nor will they, without them no EV would sell ultimately crashing the economy. By forcing bankruptcies all around, from supply to raw materials to the Manufacture. Which is probably why the current administration has decided to leave them in place.

I agree, the anticipation is fun and then being able to finally build to spec of what we actually want will be nice. Hopefully no major parts constraints and delays like Bronco had on rollout. I was a reservation holder that kept being pushed back so ended up grabbing one with 1400 miles used at CarMax because I was tired of waiting and not being able to order exactly what I wanted to get it on time.
I believe Scout will be done right, and hopefully all of us get to build something that works just right and customized for us.

I know I probably want the Cabana top, possibly front bench, a premium oem stereo, maybe 35'' tire or lift package. Not too concerned on seat material but hopefully have a color option of some sort. I am guessing a tow package will also be an extra. Very interested to see the paint color options. So far out of all of them I have seen the orange on the prototype and a dark blue in my profile picture are my two favorites.

Exactly my issue. For me it’s 35s, glass roof, Rallye strips, and I’m hoping their colors don’t add as much to the price. When I was looking at the Rivians they charge quite a bit for some of the colors. Oh and wheels. Oh and if they have A pillar lights. See…I could be in trouble.

Ok good, glad to hear that.

Share any pics you can manage to get. Wish I had an excuse right now to go to Blythewood
