  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
After dealing with infotainment systems from the Swedes, Japan and the big 3 OEM's it was quite refreshing to get a real infotainment system with Rivian.

Hopefully that trickles down to Scout, b/c I have had exactly ZERO issues with my infotainment system in my R1T in 65K miles since 2022. FWIW "infotainment system" issues can mean a lot of things. One of the biggest being terrible software.

Having Carplay for Apple and Android (wired or wireless) and hard buttons on steering wheel and dash for info-tainment and climate control is the 99% solution for me. Not into voice control or drilling down multiple layers just to adjust the side mirrors.

To @R1TVT 's point, I've had the same experience with my Rivian. Zero infotainment issues. A couple of frozen screens and the like, but a quick reset (like the three finger salute on your computer) does the trick. I know a lot of people love their Carplay and will be very disappointed without it, but I don't have it now in the Rivian, it was almost a deal breaker for me, now it would be hard for me to go back. My wife has it and frankly, the design feels almost cartoonish. The interface of the apps on Rivian is a far better experience (looking at you, Spotify). The only downside is that it needs more native apps and some better text reading/sending. Rivian's isn't great. I do wonder with the joint venture between Rivian and VW, how much of their infotainment makes it into Scout. The current showing on the screens Scout has is almost identical.

Have had nearly none on our Honda products either. Sometimes Apple does an update and car struggles for a day or two until Honda updates their software but otherwise Hondas/Acuras have been pretty bullet proof for us

Being as Jamie has noted it will have CarPlay in cool. I realize they can’t announce until licensing agreement is complete
