Apparently horses eat whether you ride them or not!If you think car maintenance is expensive - you should see my horses vet bills. Tires end up being cheaper than regular farrier visits. Plus a car does not need a dentist. Really don't want to compare my feed bills to gas bills either.
Having driven Teslas for 16 years now, I have never had an issue with tire shops. The quirk I have had was one shop couldn't do an alignment because they didn't have the right software on their alignment machine. My guess is that they were trying to save money by not paying for the latest database (my Model X was quite new at the time).I routinely deal with 2 auto shops - both have told me they will not work on an EV. That said, for the most part they don't even want to touch my VW Golf TDI - apparently there is a old wives tail that it will kill their diagnostic computers. I have not talked with the local tire shop yet. They work on virtually anything with tires (I even saw someone bring in a bicycle) - so I am hopeful. I have seen them regularly work on ATV's, SxS's. trailers - even heavy equipment.
Wow a Tesla owner for 16 years and a Roadster too? You are an EV OG for real! I gotta know will you be getting the new Roadster?Having driven Teslas for 16 years now, I have never had an issue with tire shops. Otherwise I do my own work but let's face it, almost nothing to do on EVs. I changed the brake pads and rotors on my Roadster to get something a little more aggressive. Side note: an early problem with EVs and brake pads is that you never used the brakes and then you would suddenly NEED the brakes and they would be cold. Many of us moved to an autocross pad [CarboTech] which is made to work when cold but also handle heat. But this was back in the dar ages and the OEM pads are good now.
No thank you.If you think car maintenance is expensive - you should see my horses vet bills. Tires end up being cheaper than regular farrier visits. Plus a car does not need a dentist. Really don't want to compare my feed bills to gas bills either.
I know someone who had to get a CT Scan on her horse. I don’t even want to know how much that cost. I was afraid to ask.No thank you.
Thanks. Yeah, Roadster #1098 in 2010. Wife Model S P85 in 2012. Wife upgraded to Model S 100D in 2018. Sold my Roadster in late 2021 for a Model X Plaid (needed to be able to haul kids around and the Plaid is just ridiculous). I am interested in the new Roadster but have not put any money down - I had a bunch of irons in the fire at the time so I held off. Now I'm glad I did. I know some folks that plunked down the full $250k in 2017!Wow a Tesla owner for 16 years and a Roadster too? You are an EV OG for real! I gotta know will you be getting the new Roadster?
Nope. Not interestedI know someone who had to get a CT Scan on her horse. I don’t even want to know how much that cost. I was afraid to ask.
This reminds me, not exactly the same vein, but isn't there a guy that made a sports car, but believes ownership of cars won't be a thing in few years, and people will just borrow a car when they need it. I assume that anticipates the car can be ordered and "deliver" itselfI am also disappointed in where Tesla is going with their utter disgust for any physical controls. It makes sense as they/Elon truly think the cars will drive themselves so why have controls? But I like driving. Why buy a car w/ 1,000+ hp to let the car drive itself?
Yes this popped up in extra extra but the date in that video for the Terra was March of 2030. Who knows at this point.
Says Production Traveler September ‘28
And production Terra September ‘29
So attempting to put this into perspective, scout has nearly 200,000 reservations (a fairly significant number will not convert to orders) around 80% of that number are for the traveler. Realistically speaking the only way that you can propose dates like that is assuming that every reservation will convert to a pre-order and that scout will only do traveler until they have finished all traveler orders and then do Terra until they have finished all Terra orders before opening the doors to manufacture vehicles and start building a stock to sell to a More interested but unsure public

I swear they are all just AI articles. It picks up bad info from one and it spreads like that game of telephone with more and more bad info sprinkled in.
yikes..... another delay article posted.....
I'm holding strong to what Jamie has stated, but a lot of bad press seems to be coming up quite frequently.
Don't blame AI, this is just as likely being manipulated by VW dealer groups. Don't forget that they're incredibly well-funded and will do anything to protect their own. They'd rather sink an entire new brand than have their syndicate put in jeopardy.I swear they are all just AI articles. Here’s the thing I know with 100% certainty. SM wants to sell us all Scouts. If they could sell us all one tomorrow they would. They are all working very hard to get our trucks to market. I’m holding onto that.
This tells me all I need to know. When an author uses terms like “long ass time” and expects to be taken seriously I laugh. This whole article is poorly written by somebody trying to get attention. Try again bud. Maybe write your own stuff, and use less AI!

Also, those dates are very suspicious. The 1st of the month for each start date. I’m sorry. I just don’t buy it.This tells me all I need to know. “The Traveler SUV's start-of-production date has been pushed back to September 1, 2028, while the Terra pickup apparently won't enter production until March 1, 2030. That is a long-ass time from now.”
