Scout Concepts in Cambridge, MA, October 16-18, 2026

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

@Jamie@ScoutMotors First off, wicked glad Scout is coming to the area! I've been looking forward to seeing the Traveler and Terra in person.

But woof, those Friday hours! Between the Pike, Storrow, and Memorial Drive, Boston traffic is basically a parking lot. It's 50 miles from the Worcester area, but somehow a two-hour expedition. And a special shout out to the left-lane campers doing 62 mph.

Even taking the commuter rail and T doesn't leave much wiggle room after dropping the kid off at school. Still going to give it a shot Friday morning, but was hoping for better hours. Hopefully I can make it in time to get a peek at these beauties in person!

I think those hours reflect the event hours. I hear you and was hoping to sleep in Friday since it is vacation but then I always remember the late be about sleeping when your dead so I’ll get my butt up early and try to time it around the morning rush with the T

I get it, and I'm sure the hours are tied to the regatta. But the T is only convenient if you're already in or around the Boston metro area. Once you get out toward the North/South Shore, or Central/Western Mass, public transportation becomes an adventure in itself.

I was born and raised in Eastie, so I know Boston well enough to know getting into/ out of the city can be a bigger challenge than most realize.

Here's the funny part, though. Scout is marketing these vehicles to people who love adventure, the outdoors, and getting off the beaten path, yet they're showcasing them smack in the middle of one of the most congested metro areas in the country. Massachusetts has plenty of great locations outside Boston where people could really appreciate what Scout is all about.

Heck, I've got four acres in my backyard! Bring the Traveler and Terra out here. I'll supply the coffee and cannoli!

That said, I'm still going to make it Friday. Just don't be surprised if I show up in full-blown Masshole road-rage mode after navigating the Pike, Storrow, and Cambridge traffic. 😂

Maybe letting me sit inside the Traveler for a few minutes will bring my blood pressure back down. Consider it a public service!

Not state the obvious, but let's get a little real. Scout is intentionally locating these in Cambridge, and Scout has tied itself to the event as an official automotive partner. The location is CENTRAL TO NEW ENGLAND, which has a high population density of potentially outdoorsy & adventurous people that live in and around the city, and is also within easy driving distance of places like Burlington VT and Portland ME. Those two places happen to be consistently ranked as 2 of the best cities for outdoor adventures in the United States. Since Scout has limited time and resources, they're probably going to pick a location with 400,000 potential eyeballs VS. 4 acres in the woods with a few canolis. The best canolis in the North End are also a stone's throw from the river.

I completely understand why Scout chose the regatta. It's a great marketing opportunity with 300,000+ spectators. My point was about accessibility and opportunities beyond Boston.

And while Boston may be the "Hub of the Universe," Cambridge isn't exactly central to New England. Worcester has a better claim to that. The estimated driving-time difference from Portland is only about 20 minutes, and from Burlington it's practically a wash, even before factoring in Boston traffic.

But I get the Boston mentality. I was born and raised in Eastie, and growing up, I couldn't have pointed to Worcester on a map. As far as I knew, anything west of Route 128 was uncharted territory where dragons lived.

And for the record, the four acres and cannoli were a joke, not a formal proposal to relocate Scout's marketing department. Although I'm a Bova's guy, and the offer still stands!

As for the North End being a "stone's throw" from the regatta, you must have one hell of an arm. Then again, Boston is the only city where you can be an hour away from Boston while still being in Boston.

And respectfully, opening with "not to state the obvious, but let's get a little real" comes across as unnecessarily smug. I understand the marketing strategy. I'm simply offering a different perspective as someone who actually lives outside the metro area. Both things can be true.

I'm still making the trip Friday because I'm genuinely excited about these vehicles.

That’s why we decided to fly up. Didn’t want to deal with traffic and construction or pay to park for 3 days when we intend to use public transportation or our feet

They need to go after multiple demographics. Mountainside isn’t my build, but if selling and upscale vehicle with no tire carrier helps keep them in business so I can get my Trail-Ready build, fine with me.

I am going in on Friday, but not early. It will take a couple of hours to get there from home, so I plan to leave later and avoid the early morning commute as much as possible. I don't have a firm plan yet, but I will likely take the MBTA in and try to arrive around 11am.
