From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. I’m in Illinois and just to give you an idea of how quickly things change in the Midwest. We were supposed to have rain all week. Didn’t happen. It just constantly changes so hopefully it will keep getting pushed out.
I’m from Southern California. We have only been here 10 years. I’m still not used to this!I guess I’m just really use to my California weather. Lol
Hi Colton. Coming from California I know this sounds nuts but it most likely will still change. Honestly I will look Thursday to see what it’s going to do and even then it can still change out here. When I first moved to the Midwest someone told me if you don’t like the weather just wait 5 minutes and it will change and it’s true.
When I called they did say that there is indoor space and it sounds like outdoor things will be covered as well from what they told me. I can’t believe the Scouts wouldn’t be in the indoor space.
It’s not showing thunderstorms anymore. That has changed. I keep saying it’s going to be fine.
Less than a week now!! I am so excited I feel like I’m 5 waiting for Christmas!!
Can’t wait also! So looking forward to seeing the cargo space and overall size in person.
Remember-running start to jump in and have your camera person ready to get pics. Want to see size based on a scaleable object and what better way than you getting in there. Find your inner journalist and fight for our cause!!! Then you can provide your height and wing span.
Or maybe bring a tape measure and ask nicely if you could pull a few dimensions for all of us on the OFFICIAL SM forum!

Welcome to the community. Nothing announced there yet. The 13th to the 15 in Springfield Ohio and then LA Auto Show. A good follow is @Jamie@ScoutMotors He keeps us updated from the manufacturer side and lets us know when they will be places.Will there be any events in the Dallas area?
Maybe state fair auto show?
Some of us are going to Nationals in Ohio so I’m sure we will all be posting pictures.

Welcome to the forum. FYI there is an existing thread for shows-I would keep an eye on that but I had replied to another new member earlier today that currently there are no shows/events scheduled for this time-at least none that @Jamie@ScoutMotors has announced. Give the search button a try and use shows as a key word search. I’ll try to limbo it for youWill there be any events in the Dallas area?

Okay. I called again. They said that lately the rain has been in the morning. Clears out by noon and mainly rains overnight. He said the same thing Im hoping, that it’s calling for rain Friday/Saturday but they are hoping it gets pushed out as things so often do out here in the Midwest. They said the only reason they would shut things down is lightning and then start up again when it passes. Thats the latest.
Oh and by the way I needed an umbrella and just ordered one so hopefully now that I bought one it won’t rain.
