Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I'd rather not have any chrome.
Bright flashes, like from chrome, can trigger my occular migraines.
Get regular migraines as well. It’s like the high polished chrome load scuff plates they put on the top of rear bumpers now and when the sun hits those it’s brutal. One of the honda Odessy mini van options adds some chrome to the rear as well and several times I’ve had to pass or drop back because the glare off it is terrible.

I could live without the construction yellow or lavender but that’s just me. Construction Yellow for fleet sales would be OK and purple is my favorite color-just think that lavender shade would not do the Scouts justice though Chevy has a darker lavender/gray tone that is luster metallic and it looks good-just darken it a hair-otherwise SM can just modernize all these.
I also just saw a 2025 Bronco on dealer lot this weekend I. The new gray tone-boulder? (I forget the name). While I don’t want more neutrals I gotta say it was a great very warm taupy gray and it looked great on the Bronco

Realistically only going to get 8ish "speciality" colors (outside of white, silver, black) Would love to see this space filled with

Light/Sage Green
Forest/Ponderosa Green
Sky/Vintage Blue
Light Desert Sand/Cream/Butter
Coyote Brown
Prototype Orange
Prototype Navy
?

Scout. “People. Connections. Community. Authenticity." Welcome to the Scout community. Enjoy the ride. 🛻 🚙

I have triggered ocular migraines of the left eye. I feel your pain. Not fun.
So if I want free beer I just need to hit yall with a strobe from my Streamlight while I raid your coolers. lol

Im currently fighting the VA over a migraine claim. They really arent that much fun. Empathize with yall.

My boss lets me leave the fluorescent lights off in the office to avoid them, and a few times a month I need to lay down in a dark room for a few hours. I have been taking Sumatriptan and it helps take the edge off but still isnt something I would wish on anyone else.

HOWEVER.... If the Chrome is on the grill and rear bumper, I feel it would not be a potential trigger for my migraines those areas are facing away from me. I wear sunglasses outside and havent had one triggered by other peoples Chrome trim either.

Well except for me like most ocular migraines it only effects my left eye with a crazy jagged aura and a headache that follows only if I don't take something right away. So, I can still see my beer cooler.

My wife on the other hand has full blown migraines several times/month. The only thing that works for her is Rimegepant (Nurtec ODT) as long as she takes it on onset, then we only loose half a day. If she doesn't take it right away sometimes it is two days in a dark bedroom. And to make matters worse Nurtec ODT is only covered under some private health insurance's.

Ugh! The cooler is safe then.

I am sorry about your wife. That is awful. My wife gets those too and its a show stopper.

I was taking Nurtec ODT when I was using private care, and felt it was way better at making things manageable. The VA wont approve it, which I assume is because its too expensive.

Nurtec was great though. If I took one and laid down for about an hour, I was up and running again pretty fast. My wife has claimed all my old refills of it though 😏

The Nurtec works so well we are footing the bill 100% just to keep her from loosing so much of life. It's well worth it. Good luck on your journey.

I’m on Nurtec too. It’s a miracle. And when you say 100%. Do you mean after insurance or before? There’s a manufacturer copay card that will help pay your out of pocket. I work with stuff like this in my job so if you have questions just let me know.

We are on Medicare, and NONE of the part "D"s with a reasonable premium pay for it. Actually none of the ones offered in our area. We did get a manufacturer copay card but it was a one time limited quantity. So yes 100% out of pocket.

My daughter deals with the same. Various triggers-pressure drop with weather patterns is a huge one for her. She finished work today and is laying on the couch fighting one (storms inbound in PA tonight). Lucky I haven’t kicked in but working from home and NO fluorescent lights in our house-used to lay in dark closest quite often. We got lucky that daughter’s neurologist got her on a trial program for the Nurtec for like 5 years so only have to cover the copay-it’s the only treatment they found that helps her-like amazingly well so we are thankful. We get it every month and stock pile when she doesn’t use it so get best bang for the buck. Migraine suck!

My wife got signed up for trial program for Nurtec in 2019, and after all the testing and tracking that was required they still have not reached out. She called once during this long wait and they said " yes we see you are on the list, be patient" never going to happen.

And now lets get back to our regularly scheduled program. :)
