From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. I have been looking at 2 tone cars more and more. There’s a bunch of those little Chevys that have white roofs, the new Land Cruiser has white roofs and the Bronco sport I saw today was that light blue with the bright white roof. I’m not liking the bright white. I’m hoping that there’s a cream/off white option for roof color. I think that would look better and different.
Never been a fan of the white roof. I take it from your post that you will not be building your Scout with a glass or cabana roof.
Oh I do want the glass roof. But the glass roof will be a big part of the roof but there will still be some roof around it that could be a different color than body color. I would think.
I see. So Traveler, Rally stripes, Glass roof, Rear tire carrier, 35's, steel bumpers and two tone paint. Did I miss something?

I really need to see the Ghost Rally stripes on a Traveler in Blue/Grey (nantucket-blue-metallic). I hope it looks as good as it does in my head.
Since everyone is wrapping their cars/ trucks to their liking these days, I would suggest initially offering common base colors such as white, black, silver, blue, red. Making them metallic might be a nice touch. Then, based on financial constraints, pick the top four suggested non-base colors, and go from there. My personal choice is going to be black, preferably gloss. Lastly, if there’s enough interest, offer a paneled side.
Welcome to the forum. We all enjoy everyone’s thoughts here but there’s been a lot of commentary on most people not wanting neutral colors. The good news is Jamie has pretty much said black and white will be available
The first time I ever saw a Scout was in the movie Hooper. There was a '77 IH Scout SS II and I wanted one. Whatever yellow that is, that's what I want.

As long as the poll isn’t closed, which I don’t think it is, of course you can. You can also do what I do and anytime you can on here mention the color you want even if it’s not one of the options above. You can also post pictures of cars in similar colors that you like. I’m butter yellow all the way! YELLOW! See how I did that. Mentioned yellow again.
