Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

It was just a poll to see what people like. Those colors aren’t even guaranteed at this point but more a fun activity and I’m sure something for the colors team to gain insight from
I am referring to the colors to choose from on official Scout Motors site. It has interiors and accessories plus colors to choose from. I know its early so maybe those are the "default" colors?

Oh-the pic with lime black, gray, other gray, silver gray and orange? Or is there something newer? Hmmm!

Is it this

actually these colors in this section may be referring to interior trim packages and colors

Both of these were “kit” parts that were on display at the reveal. I think it was early thinking as some reflected the larger samples they had. Here are panels from reveal of various shades of just the copper so imagine where they must be today with samples. Probably 100’s

I’m still convinced the top pic with the orange was body color and the gray shade were roof color options but just a guess. I never asked at the event

I might buy that book. It looks interesting since it's a massive time capsule of Scout.

If there's one thing I want Scout leadership to take away from this thread, it's that we all want interesting colors to choose from. Picking on Audi of America, here is the color palette for their similarly priced Q6 E-Tron. This is not acceptable.

Completely agree. I can’t believe with Scout’s heritage we won’t get fun colors. I’m so tired of white, black and grey. No thanks.

*meekly raises hand*

I'm hoping that this statement is more of a "not just white/black/grey", and not a "please no white/black/grey"?

I may get shouted down for this, but I'll admit to liking a white vehicle. For some reason, when I see vehicles like the R1S, I think they look best in a simple white. Maybe I'm biased, or simply conditioned for this, as I've owned a white Jeep ZJ for nearly 20 years now. But I like the clean/simple look (even if its "not clean").

And I assume there are fans of the other "boring" colors out there as well.

I'm all for the fun colors, and I think that will help the Scouts stand out. But I guess I also think that they should probably still do some of the "boring" colors as well.

TBH, I'm not sure what color I'll go with (assuming I can still afford the thing when it comes out :D), as that will depend a bit on what the offerings are. Just putting out the "some people like boring colors" vibe :P.

Oh for sure not just bright colors, definitely please colors in addition to white, black and silver/grey. Everyone has different tastes and it’s hard for a manufacturer to be all things to all people but a few colors in addition to the main three would be really appreciated.

When building vehicles on manufacturer website some of them there are just not many options for colors. For example, I was very interested in the new 4Runner TRD PRO and they are very limited in color in that top trim. I think it’s just white, black, grey and mud bath. So the standard 3 and the color of mud and that just really was a letdown. Then I saw the Traveler in that orange and I was hooked immediately.

And honestly it’s not that those colors are boring it’s just by that time I will have driven an all black Wrangler for 15 years and I am ready to change it up. Thanks for asking for a clarification!

I’ve had so many gray and mainly because I think the body lines look good in a dark gray. I think the Scout will too and it will kill me because I’m set on a fun color after all my years of driving
