From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

This community. People are all over social media and have no idea this community exists. How they can find the events and be a part of this adventure to owning a Scout. There’s truly nothing like it.

Agree with you on that. Can you get Jamie or team to give you behind the scenes tour of the future off-road course at the factory-and can I come along? I do a lot of architectural planning and would love to see the plans and discuss the future of what the course will offer new scout owners
Some people has said this concept looks more refined. I don't think the Scout Traveler is a good fit for the refined market. Solid front axles are good for a lot of things, but refined luxury driving is generally not one of them. Quick google shows exactly one other high end SUV that has a solid front axle - and while it is high end, it is not luxury.
Maybe I have been awake too long today or my memory is slipping after 2 years. Guess I recalled other discussions, but got the details confused. IFS in the Scout makes more sense to me. Better road and trail manners - just not better rock crawling (and harder to lift). I don't rock crawl.
FWIW, I was thinking Ineos Grenadie. Apparently google did not include the G-wagon in my search. Both appear to be selling about 10k per year in the USA. G-wagon sales are limited due to price. Ineos Grenadie is a niche market vehicle. Reviews I read said the Grenadie steers like a tractor, and the G-wagon is best driven by a chauffeur (but that might just be a G-wagon hater).

I assume you're talking about the G Wagen and it is literally the tippy top of the luxury SUV market. So clearly people will deal with a "crappy" ride for status. Now whether Scout can achieve such status is a different story (maybe they can get some rappers or pro sports players to drive around in them). That being said, the "refined" concept looks a lot like a Range Rover which is a good thing for the urban mall-crawler crowd. I do worry that the lack of a 3rd row will hamper it in the soccer mom/ballet dad market when it's cross-shopped with the EV9/Ioniq 9.
Ballet dad here. Two rows works for me. Time will tell.

While I have dealt with a family of 7 humans, it's been a long time. Right now, we are more often a family of 10 (but half are dogs). If we get a dog setter, we have done cross country trips in our Jeep - if not, we would either need a passenger van or 2 vehicles. Not ready for a passenger van. We still have the mini-van, but it rarely used on trips anymore. That is mostly because the Toyota AC is not really designed for Texas heat. Or at least that is what I tell myself - just think my wife does not like being seen in a mini-van. Plus the mini-van is hitting 300k miles.
All I need the Scout to carry is 6 (4 dogs, 2 humans), or 5 humans with luggage.

Someone at event the other week stated they were told no spare. Did the rep that said it have correct info? We don’t know and since SM/Jamie hasn’t noted it here we have no idea if correct
G-Wagen went to IFS in 2018. INEOS Grenadier is the only pricey SUV with a solid front axle I can think of.
Personally, IIRC I have owned 5 (IIRC) solid front axle vehicles, but none are/were luxury. They include my current F250 and 2 Jeep Unlimiteds (TJ and JL-oops, make that 6... 2 JL's), plus 2 1/2 ton 4x4's a long time ago. I never had a problem with their rides, but my old back is thinking IFS might be nice for a change. Plus my daily at the moment is the F250, so it rides like a refined 3/4 ton.
