Naked Scout

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. I want a truck. No computer. No OnStar. No EV components or battery. No radio. No speakers. Gas or diesel powered. Just a new, or slightly used, stripped down truck. That’s what I would call a Naked Scout. Dear engineers, can you untangle the complicated system on wheels you have made and simply create a truck? If yes, contact me via email. If no, just say no. Explanations and excuses are not necessary to me.

I certainly am a fan of what Scout Motors is creating but I 100% agree with you. I wish someone would just make a utilitarian truck. Unfortunately, Fed govt regulations make this a pipe dream.

Under estimating lol, you need to charge $5,000 for shipping, $2,000 docing fee, $10,000 for life insurance and medical, and a extra $7,500 for powertrain.

And then you get to make extra when you sell the barely used parts back to Scout if they will take them.

Don’t you tell me how to make this person’s dreams come true! 10 grand is the deposit for my brother in Nigeria to get the paperwork going with his trading partners, who like to be paid in Apple gift cards. Many satisfied customers. Thousands of references. Can get you purebred cats if you want them, just tell me the breed.

Look, I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but that is my brother. I don’t want special treatment because I am a deposed Nigerian princess. I could use some help with this visa situation I’ve got going on if you need some land, like I’ve got some potting soil and some loam and oooohhhh you mean land in NIGERIA, ooohhhhhh… sure, send me $1000 and I’ll give you some land if you could help me out with some legal fees and then I’ll give you a title and land, definitely. You can be Viscount J Alynn or some shit.

Whaaaaaaaat, you’re going to London? Lucky. You should get a baked potato in Covent Garden. Thirty years and I still try to replicate those baked potatoes at home. The closest I’ve gotten to the taste memory is by using Kerrygold butter and cheddar. Our produce just isn’t like European produce.
