Interior Colors

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

PLEASE have interiors for all trims that are not black or white. Black = scorched ass in the summer. White = impossible to keep clean (especially with dogs). This is a major reason I don’t want a Rivian. Tans, blues, etc. Think comfy but easy to get the dust out . . .

Without checking I will say most, if not all vehicle manufacturers have an All-weather option for footwells and storage areas.
I would agree with your statement. I tend to do both options. Sometimes if I know I’m not using a car hard it’s nice to have a carpets mat. Rubber just always looks dirty but it does its job well-especially when they are the well/tray types

I agree. I don’t like just black rubber. I really liked the “rubber” in the Grenadier. Ineos is a chemical company and then made cars. Apparently that flooring is one of their products. I found a couple pictures online. It’s speckled like epoxy flooring. And it wasn’t as hard as a rubber floor. It looked really nice and would appear to be easy to clean.

We go to the beach a lot deep mats are a must. You come home from the beach pop out the mat and dump the sand ease-peasy. We even have one in the back for our beach cart. Clean up is a breeze.

I hope they do as well I really would like the current Terra color palette inside & out on the my Traveler.
Saw this on the other scout forum, all credit due to them. I did not make this.

I removed my carpets immediately and replaced with these, which I ordered-up before I took delivery. They are so good, fit so well, and clean so well, I will never put carpet back in the truck. Of course shit is constantly being dragged into the truck with boots, kids cleats, ski boots, muck boots, deck boots etc, so carpets would never stand a chance anyway, in my case. Rivian nailed it with these, and they actually look better than carpet (when I clean them!). https://gearshop.rivian.com/products/r1t-all-weather-floor-matsScreenshot 2025-08-05 at 9.21.03 AM.png

I always order the Lincoln all weather floor & utility area mats when I order my vehicle they do a pretty good job as well.

I like the smoked semi-translucent Rallye stripe because it gives it an updated feel to the original 70" type stripes. Subtle but striking at the same time.
Honestly I would like them to take a buck and put a ghost Rallye stripe on one side and a regular Rallye stripe on the other. So we can see the different looks on the same color.

Actually that’s kind of a fun idea. Each side could have different wheels. Each side could have a different side view mirror color. Each side could have a different roof color. So you could compare really side by side to figure out what you like.

One thing to note as you move to an EV/EREV. It is trivial to pre-cool your car from your phone before you get into it, even in a closed garage (since there's no exhaust). So you will get into the habit of pre-conditioning 10 minutes or so before you plan to leave. Presto, no toasted buns. Of course the opposite is true in the winter. Nice and toasty buns when you get in then 😂

All that to say, black interior in an EV is not as bad as it is in an ICE.

As for interior I am partial to a camel/saddle brown. I would also prefer real leather instead of the vinyl crap (oh excuse me, vegan leather) we're getting nowadays.

Let's hope when their vehicle configuration tool is up and running we can do just that.
